wow... interesting topic... listen if u need to give a presentation on it dont look for bookish things on it... u can get sources with very little information but what id suggest u to do is write what u know - why the commit crimes, the sircumstances, concequences etc etc... i would also recommend u to write why all minds are criminal minds but the freequency varies from person to person...

hi arlon, Criminal Minds refers to personality disorders or pathology since your presentation dwells upon the realms of psyhcosocial phenomena. I believe it would be better if presen an idea about what makes the criminal mind, you could refers to Sam Vaknins books or internet site [Only registered and activated users can see links] which talks about narcissism since narcissism is one of the primary reason for someone to become a serial murderer. Or Anti-social personality since most criminal minds have an anti-social tendency just like Anthony Hopkins' characters in the Silence of the lamp, Hanibal Canibal, etc.. It would be better if you present picture snaps shots from movies that manifest some criminal acts and below describe the mental disorder it manifest. As well, aside from antisocial personality and narcissist you should also look up the borderline personality disorder since most depressive criminals are within this category, then the schizoid which are introverts which has criminal tendency to become a paraniod mass murderer. So thats its. You can look up it in the web. the best questionaire is an open-ended questionnaire since it would provide better scope of the personality i believe you can also see it through some websites.

u can prepare questionnaire in 3 possible ways...
1. questions which have to be answered by the ppl... make sure that the answers have to be 1 or 2 words...
2. likards scale - rated from 1 to 10
3. mix of both - some questions have to be answered and some have to be rated...

it has to be according to the questionnaire u r prepairing... choose the 3rd option... mix of both... use the 1- 10 scale for quantitative questions like --- rating ur own anger, times commited a crime ( not real but something similar like cleptomaniac, etc), etc...

ur questionnair should however start by asking for name, age, occupation, phone number, etc and if someone does not want to fill in these deatils dont force them to do so...

i'm not sure where you live, but you can sometimes request books be snet in to your library from another library (within the same area) if you are in the uk.
this won't be any use if you live anywhere else (i don't think).
i don't know how you would find it as an ebook sorry. it maybe worth starting a thread in the ebook section and requesting to see if it can be searched for.

good luck

that's wrong.:???:
i'm not sure where you learned that. when i studied psychology, what you do is quote from doctors studies. (freud, jung, piaget, etc.)
that is unless you are a psychologist, then if you've done a paper on criminal behaviour i would be very wrong.

well first of all psychology is dependend on human behavior and different people would think differently about a particular topic... maybe u think i am wrong... thats the way u think but some might also agree with me when i say that...

also when we talk of criminal behavior u might not support them at all while others might support them and why they do it... its a personal choice and individual thinking which u must apply to psychology... if u go by what the gr8 psychologists say, u might not be able to do much with the info they provide... so make individual decisions and think individually... thats what i say...

but what your talking about (having your own opinion) and psychology (medical fact) are 2 different things.
you can only have an opinion on something and make it fact if you are a doctor.
what you mean is that you have an opinion on someone else's field of expertise. this is what psychology is all about.
nobody gets to state things as medical fact until they become a doctor everything is just an opinion (you always, always have to back up your opinion with the work of a psychologist or scientist)

example
freud talks crap, this is my opinion but i can't say it's fact because i don't have enough evidence papers and research and a doctorate to back up the opinion (this is the basis of psychology)
you can't go from your own opinion whilst you are studying, the tutor/lecturer will wipe their ass on your paper and tell you to start again.
you have to bring together evidence from specialists in the field of criminal psychology (it in itself is such a huge field of study)
an example would be to look at something called the durham rule - being that the person's criminal act is the product of mental disease or mental defect.
you would look at this field of criminal psychology and then bring together any cases and doctors/specialists research on this then you say whether the evidence is flawed and/or right depending on which way the case is presented (a kind of fuzzy grey area)
this is what studying psychology is all about looking at the works of other people until you have the ability to set up a medical study or field of research of your own.

I know this post might be a little to late, but I do hope it helps to educate for future purporses.

1.What causes criminals to commit crimes?
2.Why do they commit it that way?
3.Do they have a motive?
4.Let's say we put aside mental dysfunction, are they willing to accept the sacrifice of breaking the law?
5.Why do they differ from a normal person?
6.How is that they want to commit a crime?
7.What is their personal experience when they first/subsequently commit a crime?
8.Are they Schizophrenic?

Please ask more if you need more. I'm working on a book and I don't really have the time to explain it in detail, so please ask away if you need help on a certain point.
