I have a few problems..

1) my 5month old laptop is giving me problems with the display driver. sometimes when i m playing 3d games, it will hang n asks me to download n install the latest driver or decrease my hardware acceleration in the error window. i tried installing the latest driver, but it says my OS is not compatible with the driver.. How can i make sure my OS is up-to-date?

2) What is a BIOS? n can i change/modify/upgrade it? coz now the error window(different from the previous) is mentioning somethg wrong wit the BIOS..


PS. i had not experience such problems for the 1st 3months (i manged to play the games that i cant play now).. the problems started around this 2 months..

try to upgrade your bios .. for ur model. u can find all acer model here ftp://ftp.support.acer-euro.com/notebook

flash bios at ur own risk .. remember attached charger when flashing bios and disable all unused services like antivirus. bla bla

if ur using ATI X1400 or X1600 try upgrade the drivers as in ftp//
