Pink Panther in Rare Pink

'Rare Pink' is a Run and Jump game more than anything, and players will see themselves jumping over obstacles and shooting items at The Man in order to get to the butterfly. There are racing elements, but primarily the game's a fairly simple platformer.
Players run automatically, and simply move left or right, or jump to avoid obstacles. Items (like stop signs) when picked up can be shot by pressing 7 or 9. One annoying thing which I found is that since the items aren't clearly marked in a help file, I had trouble recognizing which were the items to avoid, and which were the items that would help me. This meant I had to go through trial and error to see which items benefitted me and which did not, leading to a little frustration on my part.
The graphics are quite good for a 2D platformer, all the levels look crisp, bright and in true form with the cartoon series. The framerate is decent for a such a quick game, and although it drops occassionally, it generally holds up pretty well. The menu, of course, features the classic theme tune from the movies and cartoons, and is a common ringtone for mobile phones worldwide. In-game, there are a few snippets from the theme tune, but on the whole the sound was unsatisfying. No music was played throughout the game, just simple sounds playing for things like falling down a pothole. I think some high-speed chase music would've definitely been appropriate!
Overall although Pink Panther in Rare Pink isn't the most satisfying platformer I've played, it's a bit of quick fun with good graphics and fast action. Recommended to fans of the series and anyone wanting some fast action with little strain on the brain.
