From the makers of PDAKill comes the complete security package, features include:

1. Thief protection, if the SIM is changed then a SMS (showing the IMEI and IMSI) is sent to a user defined number
2. Remote Kill the device , including the SD card
3. Remote Lock the device
4. Remote Unlock the device
5. Retrieve the IMSI and IMEI of the device

After each command that is received a response is sent back to the requestors number confirming that the requested operation has completed.

The built in thief protection is invaluable, if your device is stolen and the SIM changed then a SMS is sent to the user defined telephone number. The SMS messages will include the IMEI and IMSI that is in use , if the SIM allows for the telephone to be sent then this will also be received. Whilst the SMS message is being sent the device will lock so the thief will not have access to your device.

The lock screen can be configured to allow a number of retries before the device will self wipe, removing data from the SD card and hard resting the device.

Download your complete security protection today - remotePROTECT.

Dear vitruv1an,
I just download "remotePROTECTH demo ppc2003 v1.4a.exe" (dated 13 Sep 2006) and "remotePROTECTH DEMO WM5 1.4abld10.exe" (dated 28 Sep 2006). But, the files inside the attachment that you gave are dated 16 May 2006 (exactly the same with those in the attachment from blackrider, but yours has the manual included). So, I doubt that the attachment that you gave will be doing any good to the demo version of v1.4a.
Anyone can confirm further about this matter?
Thanks.

Correct me if I am wrong but whether it survives a HARD-RESET depends on where the program is installed isn't it ? I installed both the remotePROTECT and Net Compact Framework in my iPAQ file store which supposingly should remain intact even after a HARD-RESET .... anyway, too much hassle to test it out but I will post the result when I need to do a HARD-RESET next time LOL !!!! Touch wood.

Oh Thanks "blackrider" .... this program ROCKS !!!

Not exactly onestoptakea. In order to survive a hard reset the program must reside the internal ROM of the pda. IN other words one should modify the contents of the startup memory of the pda in order to be there after a hard reset.
The hard reset removes everything from the device memory. Both 'hard disk' like memory and RAM (the memory uses the pda when it is working).
So to sum up, in order to have a program to survive a hard reset you have with some way to modify the internal ROM....something not very easy as one can understand.
