Description
Y-Browser is a file manager for Symbian OS devices. It implements most standard features on files (such as copy, cut, paste, etc) & folders (create, remove, etc)

Tnx for the news. Works excelent on N73.
Improvments (at first view):
- shortcuts are working using "Pen" as "Shift"
- ask on exit can be set to No
- smallerdelay (and scrollbar) when entering folders
- excelent "search file" function

The best solution for 3rd os, but i can't wait to see new fexplorer.

Yep i agree with schrotti..
Coz of the need to be signed by nokia, the special features are limited in every browser.. plus Y-Browser walks in steady steps.. and i find the search feature is good step for this new release..

Is it so dificult to read all page?! Ok, I'll copy again for you:

For your info, this y-browser is better than sysexplorer.....
It can show u C:\private.. and e:\private.....which sysexplore can't make it...
But, 1 thing is after open the private files, it show no files inside, actually
got many hidden files inside... :(
I think still dun have a complete explorer so far...need to wait some more time...
Anyway thanks for the share...:)

On N73: I can open messaging folders (ex inbox), but I can only see messages received via bluetooth (sms are not visible)

hmm still not ideal. I would love to be able to see all the files in the messaging folder, then I can copy my phone sms out or copy those sms in my mem card to the phone mem and vice versa.

but it's still good! better than any of those file explorers out there! Hope FExplorer comes out soon!

Can anyone run any message folder? On my E60 this stuff not working.
There is an option to explore messaging folders, but if I try to open any of them, there is nothing inside (all folders are empty)...
Do anyone successfully explore that folders?

e.g. PRIVATE folder, u cant view any files inside, actually there got many folders inside PRIVATE folder that u can explore it at memory card reader..

With the funtion of explorin the Mail folder u can see only sent files via BT or IR. This was in the past with FExlorer dor Symbian v1/v2 the same.

Yes but in the start screen of FExplorer there is same function called Inbox, there you can also see only files sent by BT or IR. With FExplorer came out soon we will not be able to explore systemfolders too due to the system security of the new Symbian OS.

Hi,
I have downloaded Y-Browser and pasted it in e/system/app of my Nokia N73but unfortunately it doesn't appear on the menu on the phone.. Did I put the file in the correct place? If not, can anyone let me know where to put it in so that I can find it on the menu.. I have also downloaded Divx Player for this phone and put it in the same directory; e/system/app. but cannot install it in the phone as I cannot find the Y browser on the menu.. I checked all the folders by using the memory card and there's no file named "Install" like it has in Nokia 6630. Any help is very much appreciated. thanks

U must install, not paste instalation file!!! Install it with Aplication installer from Nokia PC Suite!!!

Hi,
I tried to installed the browser on my phone memory of N73 using PC suite as mentioned by Petulinek but unfortunately the icon still didn't appear on the menu of my phone.. By the way, why can't I install the browser on my memory card? I could do so with my other nokia 6630. I just paste it on the memory card and then install it from the phone and voila, it works. ( I mean the FeExplorer for 6630 ) ..Can anyone help? thanks

The only thing you can do is place a blank logo at the mo. (search for op logo if you want it)

even i rename the extension file from .jar become .jara it still has same nofication "CANNOT SEND PROTECTED FILES" none of .jar and .sis, i found out that some midi has same problem with above. why there's no one can not solve this thing
