Best CallRecorder v1.0

This is a fully customisable call recording application with rules for saving conversations for incoming/outgoing calls from known/unknown numbers. Easy to use and extremely discrete.

How to start:

1. Activate Best CallRecorder - for this select Settings command from menu, then toggle the Activate option to On state.
2. To have Best CallRecorder saving only those phone conversations you need, select Rules command from menu and set the rules according to your requirements;

The main view of Best CallRecorder shows all phone conversation records. Here you can listen to those records, delete them and get detailed information about a record. The list of operations with records is following:

* Play record. While playing a record, you can change the volume with joystick left/right moves;
* Call a contact or a phone number. If the highlighted record has a phone number associated, you can dial it even without exiting Best CallRecorder - just press the Call button or select this command;
* Properties - displays a dialog with detailed information about the record;
* Delete (hot key: 'C') - deletes the marked records;
* Delete all;
* Pack - deletes all records from the list which don't have a sound file associated (e.g. if it was manually deleted);
* Refresh - reloads the list of records;

Best CallRecorder allows creating the rules of following types:

* Default - this rule will be put into action if none of the active rules is used;
* Unknown - if caller's number cannot be defined this rule will be used;
* Contact - you can set a separate rule for a specific contact;
* Group - a rule for a group of contacts;
* Phone - a rule for a phone number. You can use a mask for phone numbers. A match pattern can contain wildcard characters "*" and "?", where "*" matches zero or more consecutive occurrences of any character and "?" matches a single occurrence of any character.
Example:
'*111' - all numbers ending at 111;
'111*' - all numbers beginning with 111;
'12?34' - all numbers like 12034, 12134 ... 12934;

Each rule can have the following actions set to perform when the rule is matched:

* Ask before record - if this action is selected, Best CallRecorder will ask you whether to record a phone call or not;
* Record incoming calls - allows recording incoming calls;
* Record outgoing calls - allows recording outgoing calls;

Note: If you haven't chosen any action or have chosen only Ask before record, this rule will be disabled.

BestSafe is an easy-to-use, reliable and secure manager and organiser for your private data. With BestSafe you can store your passwords, credit cards and banking information, login information and other your data in one place and to keep it with you always.

BestSafe interface is very easy to use. You can create cards and quick notes, then arrange them into folders. To view any existing card just select it and press joystick button. If you want to modify the card just use 'Edit' command in the card view.

Arranging cards

* You can move existing cards up and down in list using Pen+Joystick up/down or the corresponding command from menu.
* You can move existing cards to any folder using 'Move card to folder' command

You can password protect and encrypt your data stored in Best Safe. To enable security use 'Set Password' command. After you specify a password all your data will be encrypted. Every time you open Best Safe the application asks you for the password. When you work with the application all data encryption/decryption is performed on the fly and absolutely transparent to you.

If you want to disable password protecting of your data by some reason you can use 'Change password' command and specify empty password.

To keep your data secure we use BlowFish encryption and MD5 message digest algorithms.

Please note: your password is not stored anywhere inside the application or on the device in order to increase safety. Password verification is performed by checking digital signs (digital signs say nothing about your password nature). It means that no person (including the application developers) can open and see your data without specifying correct password. Please don't forget your password as there's no way to access your data without it!

Security options:
You can set up automatic application lock (password screen appears when the application is locked). To do so you can use Security options command and specify inactivity time period. E.g. specifying 15 seconds here means if during 15 seconds you don't work with your device (don't touch any key, etc) Best safe application will ask the password again before you can continue to work with the application.



Export/Import:
If you want to backup your data you can use Export command. The application exports your data in comma separated text file. Please note that this file is not encrypted and you can open it in readable form in Excel application on your desktop PC. You can import your data to the application using "Import" command. Please note that when you import data it just adds cards listed in the importing file to the existing database. If you already have the same card in the database you will get its duplicate.

Search:
You can find the needed card using "Search" command. Just specify a part of text you want to find and application will look for the needed cards for you. Search function will analyse all cards in all folders and will search for specified text in all fields in the card.

I have this (Best CallRecorder) working on my Nokia N80. Thanks. I should add though that the beep every 5 seconds when recording sucks. Basically ruins the program! Also, there's a bug with the duration of recordings. No matter how long you set it at, for example, it'll only capture the first 10 seconds. This program is rank!

the registration is successful but the remaining problem is the 0 sec recording . hope this problem will be solved asap ... N93 and N73 have faced the same problems .. hope the developers will come up with a better solution. peace

For your convience i have attached new .sis file for Best Recorder.
File date is 29.09.2006. File size is also different when compared to original HSPDA's release.

This new sis fixed all malfunctions on N80.

what hspda release ? theres only the developers releases until now..

It's working on my E70 but there is a problem. In menu I put record to unlimited from 10 seconds. I press ok and exit the application. When I start again the application the record is back to 10 seconds. And indeed it records 10 seconds only. So it still has a problem.

cause i could times by ten the amount of people that come complaining that this file doesnt work or this file has messed my phone up compared to the amount of people that complain about proper scene releases

The Best CallRecorder works on the Nokia E50 and I can record any call depending on the settings but can somebody tell me how to turn off the annoying beep sounds which unfortunately can be heard during a call?

Right click keygen.exe. Choose "run in compatibility mode, Windows 2000".
I hope this helps.

Best safe automatically exits when u add a new credit card and try to scroll down fully to add all data. Did anyone faced this problem?

Bad news. I wrote to SmartphoneWare tech support asking about N73 issue; I got 2 answers (at 4 days interval):

First:
There are some problems with this device we're trying to solve right now, so check back the download page for an update soon.

And second:
We're sorry, but Best CallRecorder will not work on N73.

I'm afraid that's the behaviour on N73. Unfortunately, Smartphoneware support team was clear: Best.CallRecorder will not work on N73 (at least not in the near future).

maybe we should find a similar program, but like what??

Do the following to make the keygen functioning:
RightClick (on the keygen) -> Select "properties" ->click "Compatibility" tab -> Check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" -> Select "Windows NT 4.0 service pack 5" -> Click "OK" button.
Start the keygen again and it should run properly

Instal Best Call Recorder, set time recording to let's say 59 minutes, save changes, and restart the phone, it worked for me. If not.use Live PVR, it's on forum.

Total Recall does have option to switch off the beep sound but I havent found one that works on 3rd edition and have all the features at the same time...

On my N73 I got 0sec rec too,

I try to install and hack the trial version (this method works fine with FS caller). In this case I could not succeed. So what about keygen for v1.01 (keygen for v1.00 does not work).
