i am not to connect usb cable from pc to ngage classic phone.
usb icon appears on the phone but a new drive icon does not appear on the computer
is there a problem in the phone or cable?

iam using windows xp

if you dont have a memory card inserted, then the usb wont work.

Your usb might not detect your bluetooth or other usb devices :)

wat type of cable r u using?...is the usb cable n gage compatible?....have u installed ngage pc-suite......good luck..

6 month ago i have same problem too. so i just plug half of 'metal end (or something it called?)' to my n-gage. do you understand my language? sorry i can't english correctly. T_T

format your mmc with digital camera.

same problem is faced by tech2chill and me

the problem was that i formatted my phone by connecting it to pc via ngage data cable (provided along with phone).

there when an removable drive icon was formed on MY COMPUTER, i right click that icon and gave the command to format the drive
everything went fine. after formatting was complete i disconnected the phone from USB cable and again connected it to USB cable the the usb connection was visible on the phone but not on pc means a removable drive which i used to get earlier was not present


my memory card is working correctly as i have checked it with card reader there it gets detected by pc

so i don't know wat problem is there

oh, i know one solution again! you can install n-gage pc suite and uninstall it after installation and restart your comp. then plug your n-gage. i sure it working. try it.

this usb prob happens to me too, will try this solution and post back if it works :partyman:

format mmc in digital camera ,it should help.

ngage doesnt hav pc suite.. try checking ur usb port.
