Hi, maybe I'm ignorant too, but I can't get it configured for Johannesburg SA either. Same problem.
We must be doing something wrong!

after i instaled the program, im trying 2 update i get a massage that says that thers an error downloading data from site.
does anybudy knows whats the problem.i tried many times but still thers no update?

I had that problem too, try the proxy settings and 2nd of all you cant put in a zip code, test out of the the favorites cities and try to download the weather for that to test out ur internet connection and then click add and browse for your country >> state >> city

Yep, this is PPC software. SPB even states PPC only on their website.
