i have a question about VPN :???:

when setup a VPN is it really working like a lokal area network
i mean is possible to play games that way like you play it in an usual LAN

because i'd like to play a game with a friend of mine which is only working on LAN but he had to move away so we are not able to play it via regular LAN anymore so i want to try it that way

thanks in advance for any help :prayer:

vpn is like connecting to another computer over the internet, depending on how it is setup you can either access files, or view the entire screen of that machine, all in all it is quite slow and i wouldn't really recommend it to play games. Cant you play it over the internet?

no i cant

i dont really understand much about network stuff but if my internet connection is good enough to play games regulary over the i-net shouldnt it be enough to play games that way???

do you know a programm which can simulate a LAN over the internet the way that it is working like a LAN

The game i want to play is RISK

you could try a software call Hamachi but not sure whether is that a legal software as i'm new to this software...it works like a local lan for a group of pc all over the internet....

Yeah Hamachi is your best bet for this, quick and simple to setup.

hamachi is not good i tried it last time ... so i wouldn't recommend hamachi + you need to register to get full activation of ur software ....
