anyone have info on why DE.LL laptops have pointer problems-my friends c610 the pointer/ mouse just goes all over the screen by itself-& its hard to use trackpad when its doing this- my d600 also does the same but less frequently. Is there a DELL mouse virus???

its most likely a problem in the pad itself, probably worn out or faulty, suggest you take it back to point of purchase for warranty...most likely hardware problem.

thanks for reply-however warranty expired on my one & on my friends one expired like 2 years ago-I dont think its pad, i think its virus or something else software or BIOS but bios I already erased & updated but still same problem- on toshibas this very rarely happens but can stop it on toshiba by pressing fn & F4 keys together or something I forget...so maybe some other design thing.

well when we got a few Toshiba laptops with this problem we found it was the pad, we replaced it and the problem went away. Sometimes formatting it can fix it but usually only temporarily, also you can try setting your mouse sensitivity down in the mouse control panel.
