Smart Settings is designed to protect your phone and make its appearance unique. It combines the possibility to lock the keyboard, prevent from using the phone's 10 digits Master Code in case of lost, customize lock messages and access easily the most common applications (by exactly 2 keystrokes).

Main features description:

* Start Menu: It provides a way to customize your phone so that it looks in your own unique way. You can use these set of features for quick access of the your favourite applications. For them you can chose speed keys (1-9). After, these applications will be accessible by the Left Selection Key + Their Speed Key.

* Easy Unlock: It allows you to choose the most convenient unlock combination for yourself and to decide whether to disable the default 'Unlock' + *. If you choose to disable it, only the new combination and those who know it will be able to unlock the keyboard. Here you can also create your own message which will be displayed when the keyboard is locked but someone tries to use it. Another feature allows you to set a day period during which the phone will light the display after any key activity. Thus, unlocking keypad in the night will be as easy as in the day.

* Auto Lock Options: You can set a keypad auto lock period which prevents the phone from accidental calls. It is possible to choose the applications which deactivate the auto lock. If such application is open, the keyboard won't be locked.

* Security: Smart Settings allows you to change the max length of the Phone Lock Code. Normally it should be 5 digits long. But now you will be able to create more secure, up to 9 digits codes. For some S60 phones, there is a special 10 digits Master Security Code. It can be found in the Web and it unlocks the Phone even without the user defined Lock Code. With Smart Settings you can prevent using this code - codes longer than 9 digits won't be accepted by the phone.

? you say aou with this version the restart function working with the new update firmware, the 5.0638.3.0.1 version of the 18-09-2006 RM-84 ??

yes i mean exactly like that ;) in new FW normally restart don't work but with this ver of smartsetting restart work (on new fw of coruse) ;)

... is it wokring on 6630? i mean, the feature to have to little menu on the idle screen?

When I restart my phone the Soft Smart doesn't autostart and I must turn off and turn up phone them it's autostart

I've tried both versions and still get the "already in use" error on startup (see other thread). Anyone else get this?

i have a problem with this, I keep having to reinstall it every few days because it stops working. anybody else have this problem?

my version stopped working 3 days after I installed it :(
same problems as the early cracked releases of if I click on the Start Menu it just loads SmartSettings :/

Ok..don't worry,you need to activate them from smart setting start menu.Surely you have START ICON disabled..enable them!

Those icons in the standby screens are NOT part of SmartSettings, SmartSettings is only the start menu. Those icons in the standby screen are a feature of some of the phones like the N70 or 6680 - the 6630 might not have them, check the settings in your phone. In my N70 you find them in Settings -> Standby Mode -> Active Stanby -> On

yes, you're right...the 6630 doesn't have active standby...its available on phones after the 6681.

Will it happen the same as the other version? After a few hours or a day or two, when i click the Start menu, it just go to the Smart settings main screen?? In the other version i have to reinstall the program every 1 or 2 days. Kind of annoying! I've seen someone complaining about this version. :(

it works well on nokia 3230. but all of a sudden, the start button stops showing the application shortcuts and it takes you to Smart.Setting setup. Start button is restored if i reinstall Smart.Setting on the existing installation.

yep happens all the time to me. I keep the installation file on the MMC and you just need to reinstall it. No need to uninstall, just install and replace.. I have to do this like every 2 or 3 days.. Annoying. I wish this was fixed :cry:

When you installed you'll see the code that the machine generated so note it down, remember it'll appear two times seperately, you need to record all. i think around 4-5 days it'll seek the keygen, then use put down your codes.

6680 is Symbian OS v8.0a S60 2nd Edition, Feature Pack 2... so download the 8.x :)

smart setting working in N70 but a problem that when the back side camera open than auto lock is open. whenever the secutiry sysetem is failed than no use the password for locking system. have any solotion for that pl.help me.

I am having the same problem... The smart settings program opens when I push the start button. I just install it all over again in order to use it.

how to disable the default unlock, i could do it with older versions of the program, but in this one i can't find an option for disabling the default unlock

need a little help here, i tried installing the winxp start menu + appz icon already but it still shows the flower icon on the application menu. other than that everything is showing the winxp icon except in the application menu only. n70 user here.
