zardoz99 2nd November 2006, 18:41 Why so little faith in the version number? The version on the DivX site *IS* 0.83... not 0.80.
I just redownloaded it to double check.

Yes. And your point is? Please clarify. :)
zardoz99 2nd November 2006, 18:50 My point is... The official web site offers 0.83. Why would anyone assume that a 0.80 version would be newer? Software developers may forget to update a version number but would not issue a brand new version with a LOWER version number than is already available. It just doesn't make sense.
Update: I have unpacked the .sisx file and I can conclusively demonstrate that the 0.83 is newer.

If some people like the older 0.80 version in preference, make both available in the first post and edit the description? Then they have a choice..

I'm sorry that you feel that you have been critisised. That was not my intention. I was only highlighting what appeared to be incorrect information. Unfortunately, this version is now being announced on other forums as being the newest available. Some software breaks badly if you try to "downgrade" it... should I just remain silent and allow that to happen?

poor other forums don't even have the sense of editing the posts. they just copy and paste stuff available at ipmart. This is not the only instant. anyways remove the link now. If they are acting stupid it doesn't provides u the opportunity to break the rules of ipmart and also to unintentionally advertise a crappy forum here.
K3NT 3rd November 2006, 04:12 it does not work on my e61

john_nadhy 3rd November 2006, 22:34 sorry... to break up smartmovie cranky hapiness, but here's my theory i think 3g2 version of avi or should i say mp4 format, which works on realplayer on os 9.1 based phone, WORKS better than smartmovie or even DivxPlayer, even though a little pixelated, when it comes to sound quality, clarity of the video, it does tops it off, So i stick with realplayer for now, or if smartmovie breakthrough for a new codec hmm... let me see aac2 or mp5... dat's im gonna go with. if im wrong than im gonna get a newphone hmm. N100...

What a waste of time...
