OK, I know this is an awesome, and such a cool thing.. blah blah blah, but i want to know, is it really worth all that money? Because here it costs 3700$ which is alot, and i want to know, what are the positive sides.
I also would like to know if the Intel Core Duo slows the Mac Book Pro down? Like if i have a Mac and Windows does it affect the speed?
I have also heard that Mac's never freeze.. Is that true? If yes, doesnt that mean that there are no really complex processes going on in a Mac, and doesnt that limit the flexibility of the system?

intel core duo does not slow the mac it speeds it up!! The new mac book pro is very fast... You have two ways tu run windows on a mac... one way is to choose each time you start wich operating system you want, the other one is to start windows once MacOs is running, and there, you have to share you're ram for both os. It's true that MacOs 10 almost never freeze, but windows is windows, it will not run better if it's on a mac... this s*** always bugs ;-) Now, I think that it's worth the price... you can always try to find a special price for students... i got mine for 2600 CHF... that means about 2100$... it's always cheaper if you buy it online... Ya...i have a core 2 duo MBP here...and its really awesome...its DEFINITELY worth the money...it can boot two different OS at the same time or if u prefer it...differently...both windows os and mac os...and the mac os is so well-designed for every user...and like mammoth said...mac os NEVER hangs...and lags rarely...its very strong...and it has this illuminated keyboard that lights up automatically when the book senses insufficient light...ok...it has a apple remote...and the packaging is really special...cool...mac os doesn't need any anti-virus prog or anti-spyware...the os is smart enough with some mac osx security updates that u will need to upload...and the interface of mac os is easy to use...it beats windows...bt it doesn't manage RAR files...erm...i got mine for $4.3K...bt u can always buy it cheaper from the online store...

If u can afford...get the core 2 duo MBP...it runs at a much higher speed than core duo does...and it reduces battery usuage and still provides high performance at the same time...and u hav to trust that mac os never hangs like windows frequently does...thats how clever osx is...it sounds unbelievable bt its true...it only lags sometimes...even if it lags...when the one app that u r working on lags...u can always run a second app that will NOT lag...windows cannot do that...once an app that u try to start up lags...when u try to open another app...it lags too...and it carries on lagging longer...until sometimes...it end up freezing

Believe me, that extra 1 GB of ram is rising the MBP to a whole new level. 1 GB of RAM is like having a new MBP when you're running a lot of "heavy" apps simultaneously. It is worth the extra 400$ I spent on it. It keeps my CPU cooler and my MBP Fast as a lightning ;-D Hehehe...

I agree bt the AppleCare kind of sucks. It strictly repairs hardware problems. and btw, that $400 is in what currency?
