Operation:

* Three type secret notify:
-Fake notify: NEW!!You can specify a file(video/audio/picture/word/excel...)or any application in setting dialog, then when SMS from mobile NO. in RedList come, SmartSMS will call the associated application to play or open this file/application. For example, you can specify a video file, when your secrete SMS come, windows media player will play it automaticlly. Then just you know you have new SMS, while others near you do not know! you also could set each redlist NO., then you could know who's SMS is come.
-Today plug-in cartoon notify: After installation, go to [Settings]->[Today]->[Items], check "SmartSMS". A plug-in will appear in you today screen, defualt cartoon is "swimming fish", When SMS from mobile NO. in RedList come, plug-in will change into two cartoon people with fake words(you provide in SMS hint), tap the left cartoon girl, plug-in switch to defult cartoon!
-MSN-liked notify: when SMS from RedList No. is incoming, a MSN-liked Notify with the fake words will popup form the right and buttom of screen, then just you know your secret SMS arrived, even someone play with your PPC phone see it, he/she do not know what it mean!
* Four type password-entry:
-Normal password-entry: To show all UI for yourself!
-Backup Password-entry: To show BlackList only. When your mate(wife or husband) find SmartSMS in you PPC phone, he or she must ask for the password to enter it, in this case, you just offer Backup password and tell him or her: it's just tool for block some rubbish SMS!
-Backup password+RedList NO.-entery: To show the SMS list form this RedList NO. only. When you have two or more secret contacts in you RedList and you just be with her/him, she or he ask you show the SMS from her or him to her or him. In this case, You would not like show other No.'s SMS in your RedList. Then you could enter SmartSMS with "Backup password + her/his No."!!
-Urgent password-entry:NEW!! Clear all Redlist NO. automaticly. When someone who know SmartSMS' function find this program on your device, you can enter with urgent Pwd., it would delete all Redlist NO., and then you could explain:"I just use the blackList, no redlist!". Later when you input these redlist NO., you still could see these NO.'s SMS you recived before!
* SMS PPT:
-You could slidingshow your secret SMS in full screen mode. Select a image for every RedList contacts, and SlideShow...It gives you sweet recall!!
* SmartSMS today plug-in:
-After installation, go to [Settings]->[Today]->[Items], check "SmartSMS". -You can Set protect level of the MobileNO. in RedList: Low level- both system's Text Messages and SmartSMS could recieve the SMS from this NO. High level- just SmartSMS could recieve
* BlackList:
-Add the Mobile TelNO. to BlackList to block SMS from this NO.

tried installing but asking for a password once i run the program... am i missing something here...?

the password was for your password while open the sms,just put the pass as you want and remember the password,try this program

For Updating 3.17 , install the 3.16 first

try delete the registry using pocket mechanic , delete unused registry and install again , try that

i'm having one problem though... it is able to capture and hide messages of numbers listed in red list but when i try to reply or call one of them it doesn't get through or the message is not sent... i think the problem is it doesn't seem to include the country code defined on the setting when i try to call back or reply to a message... as a work around, i had to define two numbers for a contact, one with a country code for receiving messages and the other without for replying or call back... maybe there's a better solution or i missed out something on the setting... can somebody help me please... thanks in advanced!

try to install again and use pocket mechanic to delete the registry , after that install it in the main memory , should be no problem actually

Yes, I agree. I do have the same problem as well with my dopod 818. I'm unable to read the full message if the message is more than 2 pages.

There is no better alternative at the moment... at least not that I know of. And this prog was made 2 years ago. Still, working fine and does what it promises (except replying to messages from within the app).

yiks!! using it for a while and works like a charm. then lastnite it doesnt work anymore and just so happen that one redlist sms came. heck with keeping trouble out of family hahahahaha... i have a tough time explaining the sms.. if you guys know what i mean ... i really need something better..

its not working on my one..says it need the reg code (3.1.7.1)please help!!

how to use the keygen:
1. install version 3.171 as normal (available on first page)
2. copy the keygen to ppc and open the keygen in the ppc (not on the pc)
3. type in your password as normal
4. go to 'registration' and tap 'device id'. device id will be displayed
5. tap on register and a dialogue box with the serial should pop up.
6. copy the serial no
7. close the application and open smartsms as normal
8. type in the serial no you have got into the registration form and register
9. finish! you are done.

finally got it to work on mine (country code is compulsory with the + sign) but the hidden outbox is not showing :( anyone have an idea why?

what you mean with the outbox? you can switch it when you select an entry in the left top corner. but before you send a message you have to activated to leave a copy of your message in the outbox :)

Just one problem, Incoming SMS are split in part... Pitty the soft do not rebuild the original one. By the way, very usefull software ;)

How do this compare to mobiion MAGICALL? It can do everything! it blacklists not just SMS but also calls. it can also do those diversion thing like running a certain app when the SMS arrived.

Thats not true. It sends to any phone. Just a small problem somewhere with your settings.

I am no expert but really ...it is simple to install. Why dont you uninstall and try again. If possible, why not flash your ROM (preferably to a newer version). If there is any help I can give , I will try my best.
