recently i parted my hard drive to 3 partitions.

One of them i installed XP the other one i saved for my Media of all files.

the last one I used for Vista. After installing Vista transformation pack i see no need of vista partition anymore. I formatted it by using Windows. After that I wanted to merge it back with my media. I used PARTITION MAGIC. Man just when I merged about to finish they show an error the process can not carry on. I closed the application. Then to my horror, when I opened my computer there is only one partition of C:\ drive. the D and E has disappeared. I tried system restore it said the D and E have been removed from the system. I tried to restart my com for a few times. Now I can see the D drive when open the my computer but it is inaccessible. All my music, videos, softwares are in it.

I know the data is still there but cant do anything to access them.

Anybody here encountered the same problem before ?????

Got any solution ?

Man I cant reinstall my com it is gonna be a huge lost. CAN ANY BODY HELP ME OUT ?

this is really hard... in my own point of view i think there is the less chance u may able to recover your files in drive D:however i do suggest if you can now see it at ur my computer right click the drive d: Properties>Tools>Error-Checking then check the two options then run it. have you tried to merge a partition hardisk before w/o formating the drive which you wanted it to merge coz i think that is to imposible ironically it might work but i doubt its stability? anyway i may be able to agree that it could be possible to merge only when you also have to format the drive which you wanted it to merge with.

i am trying to getting the file back by using handy recover

it works but pretty slow and i dont have enough disk space

so you mean the only way to merge two partitions is when the two are formatted?

first of all, DONT do anyTHING!
don't COPY files!
DON't open STUFF!
STAY AwaY FROM anYTHING as your missing files could be overwritten
if you have another drive.
use it!
download restore my files and "SEARCH" for your files
it will list all files which are deleted accidentaly deleted even after formatting.
once done, SAVE the recovered files SOMeWHERE ELSE EXCEPT THAT DRIVE!

man the problem is i dont have external hard disk
