more over N73 have bigger screen size, right ?? I already drooling hearing ipod music player, my mistake to think that N73 can substitute real mp3 player and more over it cannot connect to the external speaker (yes it can by buy nokia 3,5mm converter but the sound really don't satisfy me and not even a equal match for my speaker) !

Have you guys considered nokia n91? Though it has many bugs, but since the firmware has fixed many of the bugs, it's pretty stable right now. As a "crash-dummy" for mp3's, nokia n91 has one of the best sounds even at high bitrates. To know more, please do ask me if you want to compare.

Dude, Creative's Zen Vision M is like a god compared to Ipod Video

-no, seriously...

You might need to consider the fact that the Nano is the only flash based player mentioned here--much better if you just want something to listen to(no videos) while being active--the hard drives aren't meant to be bounced around--whether you go with the Ipod video or the ZVM...

it may seem simple, and it is BUT you dont get a screen to pict what song u want 2 hear it will randomize ur songs all the time! only downsie i see unless u dont care or dont have the extra money for nano or video.

Well I've got a PSP so if I want to watch movies on a handheld I will just have them stored on my Duo and play them on PSP. I think the iPod video screen is way too small (as comparing with my PSP) so I have my 2nd gen nano just for music playing and keep my PSP for games and videos.

Besides there are already many free PSP video conversion tools and I have no problems with converting from avi or any DivX movie files to PSP format.

I've just bought Ipod shuffle 2nd generation...Can't see what songs are playing...so annoying! But it's very small, nice one!

well, what I did is this---I was too afraid of using my ZVM while doing physical activities(hard drive based players aren't meant to be bounced around) so, I ended up purchasing a Creative muvo slim(refurb from creative labs ebay auction) It is only 512mb - only holds about 85 songs--but that is enough for this purpose and I only spent $25 on it--no problems with it yet--Has an lcd screen-fm radio-mic for voice recording--and if I happen to break it, I am only out $25. Since it doesn't need Itunes-I can transfer songs back and forth with whatever program I desire-usually use wmp11 or mediamonkey. This one is about the size of a credit card, and maybe about as thick as an Ipod nano--still small enough to fit in your pocket or whatever...

if the difference in the price is not that big between the nano and video, why not go for video. :-)

Oh BTW, any information about watching movies on iPhone? If we can't play movies on iPhone, I hope the next iPod video will have a large screen like iPhone and that would be cool! :)

I have been through a few MP3 and MP4 players! I started with a Creative Zen Micro, which was extremely average. The problem with the Creative Zens was the connections on the headphone sockets and it resulted in me stripping the unit and re-soldering the connections (I don't know if they fixed this in more recent players!?).

I also went through a PSP for MP3 and MP4 files, but found that there was a distinct shadow of all moving images on the MP4 video files, and also found this to be the case for UMD Films (can be very annoying).

I have since bought an iPod Video 30gb - I now have about 2000 songs, 5 films and the entire first series of Lost on my iPod!!! Would highly recommend the iPod, even though the iTunes software is flawed and difficult for non-techie users to get to grips with! (just try setting your computer to install ONLY the files that YOU want!! I spent the first few days listening to Windows Alert Files on my iPod!!!!)
