Close Phoenix before starting installation of the Data Package.

Note! Phoenix release 2005.05.0.143 or newer is required!
See Technical bulletin for more detailed information on user settings
handling with Phoenix v. 2005.05.0.143 !!!

Note: If some earlier version of RM-51 Phone Data Package is already installed,
it must be uninstalled first.
Close Phoenix before starting uninstallation or installation of Data Package.
Go to Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel, then uninstall RM-51
Phone Data Package.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Phoenix Release 2005.05.0.143 or newer
- Save Settings feature must be DISABLED in FPS-8Flash (parameters menu)
before flashing

This installation package includes:
- MCU software release 5.0625.0ch
- Variant packages (PPM) for MCU software 5.0625.0ch :
-Nokia Default Variants
-Country Variants
-Operator Variants
- RM-51.ini file, that includes
- options used in flashing
- list of settings that can be saved from customer's phone when
updating software
- (Transceiver).ini files, that define
- names of flash files
- variant Image that belong to each product
- default settings for each product
- SW setting files (Product profiles)
- User interface configuration file for Product Profile tool (RM-51.ppu )
- Label printing files (600dpi only)
- RM-51.val includes product type specific module information for Faultlogger
- autotune_RM-51.ini allows user to align product's RF part automatically
- RM-51_tunings.ini that specifies some TX Power Level tuning targets
for RM-51
- readme_CustomerInfo.txt (this file)

Where to get the Phoenix Release 2005.05.0.143 or newer software ??

the problem with Chinese version is that the font size is a shade too small. often starts hurting the eyes after prolonged usage.
advantage with the rm51- v5.above is that the sound quality increases dramatically.

this is the latest release till date by nokia for 3230. it would be convenient though if someone could upload the English version instead of the Chinese version.

Can somebody pls seed the firmware, many people are waiting for it..
