Ok here we go, in light of a recent comment I received regarding who is and who isn't a criminal, I'd like to find out what everyone else thinks!
This is my view:
Downloading any form of 'warez' is illegal and wrong. When I say wrong, I don't mean everyone should stop on moral grounds, just that it should be accepted that it is *exactly* the same as walking into a shop and taking stuff from the shelves, or even into someones home, and as such is 'wrong'.
We all do it, to some degree, and this is a decision that we make. I for one know that I am doing something illegal and probably immoral, but I make my decision to do it, knowing what it is I am doing is basically a crime and some poor guy is losing out on an effective sale. I'm definately not going to try and justify this downloading by criticizing 'the system' or 'the man' or M$ or to justify it on moral grounds that 'all software should be free.
So the debate could go on and the reasons for and against piracy can be discussed, but what I want to find out is whether or not people here think that what they are doing makes them a criminal or not.
