Yes you can back up your whole device, even your SD card to the SD card.It will create an EXE which you can transfer to your desktop. That is what i did because the desktop application is expired no matter how many times i deleted the strings and registry entry.

I installed this on an m700 (HTC 3600) and tried to do a back up to PC. It did a soft reset, but did nothing afterwards.

The PPC would not register with Activesync, and I noticed that lots of the software which was installed on my SD card no longer started, or I got a 'missing file, re-install software' error.

Many icons reverted to the basic window file icons and the PPC was genarrly slow.

Removed Sprite, did a soft reset but the programs are still corrupted.

Not impressed at all

Update:

What Sprite had done is create a backup file of my storage card with just a few files on and called it "storage card" but then renamed my storged card to "storage card2" and therefore the OS could not find the programs on the real storage card.

OK, I am happy that I don't have to reinstall everything, but it is a poxy thing to have done this in the first place

Here are some brief tips for Sprite backup:

1 Forget about the desktop version
2 Only backup PPC to storage card (don't back up storage - do that manually via USB to PC)
3 TEST several backup programs and see which works best for you

4 me, sprite does the trick, but depending on what software and rom you have, it may not be the best option - until you are sure of the program, do not rely on only one!
