Installed successfully. Working.
Alright.

Managed a new USB connection. Good.
Now when i scan for a product. Nothin. There's no product.
It should have scanned a Nokia 3230 but it doesn't.
I've also installed RM-51_dp_v_44_1_mcusw5_0614_0ch.exe package.
Also downloaded Nokia 3230 firmware (5.06) RM51PE506140.
That includes two files:
1: RM51PE506140.03 (5.20 MB)
2: RM51PE506140.C1 (26.6 MB)

As UFS-3â said, USB flashing is only for BB5 phones.
3230 is a DCT-4 phone which means you need a box and the appropriate cable to flash it.
My advice for you is to just take your phone a Nokia Care (Service Center), they will do the firmware update (if your phone is outside the warranty, they may charge you some bucks; but it's still a lot cheaper than buying a box).

Regarding what the firmware files are and how to understand them, here's what I know of most BB5 phones (not sure if it's valid for your DCT-4):
MCU flash file = .fpsx --> Firmware itself
PPM flash file = .V01 --> Permanent memory
CNT flash file = .U01 --> User settings
