I have the v3.0638.0.0.1 version in APAC, and when I changed the product code to the APAC ME one, NSU says "Unable to read the software update package. Please try again later." Please help me solve out this silly problem. Thanks in advance

hey thanks for the firmware
i successfully flashed my nokia n73
i am from india and used india profile in flashing
ie #0539354: RM-133 CUST.TRX INDIA VIETNAM (Black)
but i got some problems with it

first of all i thought that flashing wil erase all my contacts and messeges
but after flashing my contacts and messeges r there only
and great thing is that all software i installed in phone memory r there eg smartmovie, sysexpor etc.
how can it b possible????????? :???: :???:

and now my gallery doesnot open
it gives a messege "flie is not exicuted due to security reasons
what is this ??? how to slove it??? :???: :???:

the music player is definatly improved i appriciate that
but how to exit it
it keep running in background there is no exit option in it??? :???:

please help me with this

from music player, choose equalizer and then choose exit. now u can exit the music player..

I need some help?

I download firmware for nokia n73

"N73_v3.0638.0.0.30_ME_APAC
RM-133 Phone Data Package ME_APAC v1.0"

and install them but my Phoenix (version 2006.12.5.136) in flashing/SW update don't show any file and I can't flash my mobile.
Also I try tools/options/product location and enter path to 133 (file is in directorium of phenix/product/133) and also nothing happened.

Anubody have solution?

Here is the official changelog for the two new N73 firmwares:

First the standard N73 firmware (3.0638.0.0.1):

New major data package version 3.0 (MCU SW 3.0638.0.0.1) has been
released for RM-133.
Changes/improvements from MCU SW version 2.0628.0.0.3 to version
3.0638.0.0.1:
- New features:
- Video Stabilization set ON by default
- InfraRed Modem application added
- Improvements to:
- Slow SMS Sending problem
- Incall Rebooting Issue
- Restart when 3D audio ringing tone and say callers name active
(partially fixed)
- N73, N70 setting "name display order" in Contacts doesn't work
- Not Possible to Switch General mode after Offline without re-flashing
- Bluetooth Search and Connection errors
- Phone resets when connecting or disconnecting BT headset during
active phone cal
- Phone hangs or Rebooting when composing an SMS (partially fixed)
- Phone hang when taking picture (partially fixed)
- Camera Freezes when zooming (partially fixed)

And for the ME firwamre (3.0638.0.0.30):

N73 device and is therefore unchanged in functionality. All RF
signalling remains totally unchanged and is common to both the

Thank you everyone...I've sucessfull updated my N73 to N73ME. But the only thing is when I connect my phone to PC with pc suite cable (my pc suite is new version 6.82) can't recognize. can't detect my phone. But with another phone can connect. does anyone same like me?
Please help me....

I am from India and got my N73 from UK, I sucessfully updated to Music Edition and now my phone displays....V 3.0638.0.0.30 30-10-2006 RM-133 Nokia N73 (12).........after update my phone got slower and music application is always on in background without any key to disable it,gallery is also slower, can someone please suggest how to get back to normal software version from music edition....................

if use NSU you need insert sim card (this method is safe but take about 30 mins to flash... very slow... cos it need download MCU,PPM then flash your phone)

phoenix is faster, you can flash without sim card

memory card doent matter

anyone got the firmware to upgrade the normal N73 v2 to v3.06xx? Also, if you DIY (Do-it-yourself) the firmware upgrade, will it affect your warranty of the phone with Nokia? Nokia service centre do offer such upgrade service too but takes a couple of hours.
