i have try to rename .zip or .rar to .jar. it cannot work and install.

some game post in this web only contain .zip but do not have .jar.

may i know how to change it.

i have both winzip and winrar program.

Turn the file to archive (Right-click, Properties), or when all the files needed are already in RAR, then rename it, you'll see that it's already named .zip or .rar you then have to change it to .jar

all my file already in either .zip or .rar.

but i try to change the file to .jar, it doesnt work. it seen to me that it is atill in .rar.jar. i cannot change the .rar to .jar. eg abc.rar, i cannot rename it to abc.jar, I dont know how to rename it to abc.jar. when i rename it. it always give me abc.rar.jar.

Open the files as ARCHIVE, i think you'll be able to manage it

if your using windws, try this one. open my computer and click tools>>Folder options>>View Tab>>uncheck "hide extension for known files types". :rolleyes:

have u tried "extract here" wouldn't that be easier?

If you see something like in the left panel, you must rename your file.
If you see something like in the right panel, you must unpack your file.

Step 1:go to tools>>folder options>>uncheck hide extensions for known file types
Step 2:go to your file that u want to convert to jar
Step 3:hit F2 or simply right-click rename to .jar
Step 4:now your file is in .jar

I can't seem to find the folder options under tools. My OS is windows XP.

my bad....sorry is open your folder on the top got>>> file edit view favourites tools,
click on tools u will c the folder options...

just follow the steps....

i think i got it... just follow what they say...

1) double click My Computer

2) On the top menu where u see File Edit View... etc. Go to Tools -- Folder Options

3) In the folder options, click View tab. In advance settings, unchecked "Hide Extension for know files"

4) final step... rename d/l file from .zip to .jar
