I'm using Aspire 5051ANWXMi series Aspire 5050. My notebook RAM was 512mb DD2. I had install OS by myself. One thing that make me surprise when I check on computer properties, it say that my RAM was only 384mb. Any idea where is other RAM was?

And one more thing that I want to know is there were symbol(?) on the list of device manager at Pci Flash memory. Its look like that I need re-install again but I dont know how?

Problem need to solve:
1) RAM is 512mb but show only 384mb only.
2)Question mark(?) symbols on PCI flash memory at the device manager property. Need somebody explain what I need to do.

bios reset if that do not help then bios flash! make shure that the battery is fully charged!

Now that problems does not matter already.. it just something with my video card actually. But Im quite satify with it becoz it faster in windows boot time. I dont use acer software.. I just formatted my hardisk and install a new os. then install diskeeper to make it faster by using MFT paging file or Fragshield. And the best part is I can still playing Neverwinter Nights 2 althought is quite slow a bit. But of coz if it price was so cheap!

Sori, coz i would like to give some opinion of mine. the 512 MB ram but only showed 384MB i think is not a cheat. May be ur bios system had set to have 128 Mb ram for display or share memory. Usually 8 or 16 Mb is required for the display or share memory. thus u can change the 384 mb ram to to 504 or 496mb in the bios system.
By the way may u tell me what MFT file is ? thanks a lot.

(MFT)master file table is a file, which contains information about all other files in that partition. This includes the name of each file, its physical location on the disk, and other information. If u use diskeeper software then u understand it.

Okay. Thanks a lot. Actually i saw MFT file in the diskeeper that i had just installed. It's a new program for me. So how about ur 512 Mb Ram?

I agree with win driver ypu try to set the video sharing on your bios because that model is have integrated graphic card so its share with your ram.....:dance:
