CE-Star for WM5 is the first and only true Chinese/Japanese enabler software suite for Windows Mobile 5.0 based devices. It integrates Chinese enabler, handwriting recognition and dictionary.

If you mean to register online, Never of course.
But the rar file includes a key generator to register with your own name in the PPC. Please rememeber to generate with your device name. Good luck

Bro.....how do i go about it??? It did not prompt me to register..... Also after sometime of usage, i can't seem to write chinese again....it will have to wait for sometime before i can write again....

I don't read chinese also. But I think in the second line counting from the bottom u have a choice to register. Or ask someone that can read chinese...

rmycch, do not copy the file and install from your dopod. Just connect your dopod to pc using the cable and run the setup file from your pc then follow the screen instruction.

Does anyone has problem after installation? After installation, i did a soft-reset, and register the program. Then I did another soft-reset. I'm getting "Load Engine Error" after the reset and Ce-Star does not start after this..

I have to start it manually and then only it would work. However, whenever i did a soft reset, the "Load engine error" message box would pop out.

I bought a HP rw6828 and installed this ce-star 2.8, it can be install and register, but you can enable the pinyin function when trying to write chinese. After some time now it got error with my phone. I cant start any phone original program like message or calender unless i uninstalled the ce-star. Reinstall the program but still having the same problem. Anyone can help? I emailed the mobem but there is no reply.

Did you get the "Load Engine Error" after soft reset? Does it change your datetime format as well? it changes my datetime format to chinese format, no idea how to change it back.

I read somewhere that it might be related to SPB pocket plus software. After I updated SPB Pocket Plus, I didn't get the "Load Engine Error" anymore. However, my PDA could still use the original program though. I have a HP RX 1950.

Same here. I went to the register column and realised it was reg already. THe password was there also. (coincides with the one generated by the keygen). Will wait for another 14 days and see if it still works.

Hi, after i had did a hard reset of my O2 mini, i tried to reinstall CE-Star Suite 2.5 to it but i keep getting an error msg saying that the program is detected in the device and aske me to uninstall the program before reinstalling the program.

How is it possible that my mini still has the progrma after a hard reset? How do i reinstall this program into my mini?Can anyone help? Thanks.....

chinese program normally is very hard to remove. Like what happen in nokia s60 phone, after you installed the chinese star, you can't even flash your phone ordinary way. U must format user area, then only flash. So for your case, you need to remove the ce-star using the registry editor. Download the resco file explorer and registry editor then remove the ce-star under the key local user and machine. The only u can reinstall your ce-star. Hope this hlep.

soul lam, you need to install the resco registry, and from there u will find the key_local_user/machine, then from there will will find the cestar folder and delete it.

The R2 version allow you to write chinese using pin yin even for HP rw6828. But the problem is that the keygen for 2.8 version cannot be used for R2 version. Anyone please help to post it here is you found the keygen for R2.

this discussion seems to have stop quite a while, i'm also wiating for the keygen for the r2 ver for wm5. currently, mine still have a limit of 50 characters until the next reset although i've got it registered, as it says 'registered' in the about window of my current ver2.8. also not able to use the pinyin option. and there's a bug like the penpower cant be use sometime and need to have a reset. any good samaritans pls help, sure to benefit lots of members here....

The serials for CE-Star are device user name's dependent. U can use the key generator to get your own.

Mine is:
User name: Simme
Serial: CXAAAAN8AAAA

Note: If you change the name of your device, many other applications registrations have to change too.

acrox27, there is 2 version of cestar for wm5, the latest one support pinyin for o2 atom and hp while the first version not. The one u download from here is the 1st version which can be use for dopod 818 pro series with both handwriting and pinyin and most important the keygen is working. But for the r2 version which allow u to use handwriting and pinyin for o2 atom and hp the keygen provided is not working and we r still waiting for the keygen..

CE-Star Suite 2.8 only work for wm5, does not support wm2003. For HP rw6828, u can use this version but the only thing is u cannot use the pinyin features. If u want to use pinyin features, then u need to get the r2 version, but still don't have the registration key yet. U can try using the monster sip also..

Got the same problem, after updating to cestar 2.8, message button won't work (right hand button). I'm using HP rw6828. However, still able to access message folder (trying to write sms) from the start button. Now, trying to completely remove ce-star and re-install. And no prompt for registering.

CE-star suite 2.8 works fine, with the CEStar_R2A_Crk. But be warn somehow CE-star effects windows mobile live login, ...I'm certain I narrow it down, cause when I have it install I cannot login, but when I unistall it I can login fine. Wonder why is it like that.

Hi i am new here ...just want to say a big thanks for brothers here who have up loaded the CE Star software... ok found a soultion for those who can reg. their CE-star.

1) if you go to the CE-Star web site to downlad the software , their current version is CE STAR 2.8 R3. the keygen provided here is for CE STAR 2.8 only.

2) how you check, after down loaded you go and open upthe file setup.ini you will be able to see this

ID = cestar28r3
CUI = 1

find a version with out "r3"( one of the brother here have uploaded one)...the keygen provided in this forum will work swee swee....

Hope this will help. my HP Ipaq rw6965 working good on the ce star2.8.

do not use the CE2.8r2 version of your D810 you will have prob using your window update and messenger live in your PDA.

You have to use the new one CE star 2.8r3. Have tried and know the error once uninstall the old one, problem is resolved.

Anyone have the key for CEstar suite 2.8r3??

ok.....first...download the ce-star r3 in www.mobem.com website then install in ur pda in main memory...then copy the crack to ur pocket pc main memory..then double click to install..that's it

since many users is requesting the cestar for hp rw6828, i tested the r3 version and the r3 crack, it is fully working even with the pinyin. So i upload it again here just for the ease of all users. Just install the cestar as normal, then copy the r3.cab crack file into yr phone and run and install it. That's it!! enjoy yr phone now.

My dopod is coonected to dopodasia not dopod international. download area do have ce-star but i cant download it seem may serial is not include in free upgrade.

I was wondering if you have the program that works with dopod 810 you can kindly post it here and i try using the keygen provided above to register. will it be possible?

I cant download it it say that not all serial can download this program. this is so stupid. Customer service for dopod suck bigtime specially if you email them in english so stupid. can anyone help me with this?

Well the r3_crack will change the user name to Kenneth, is it normal cos it still reflect Unregistered on my HTC Touch though. Pls advise. Tks

I can't leh. Entered my name, generate code. Enter under About/Register in CE-Star. Prompted to restart, did so. "Unregistered".

This is for those with registering problem.

I've download and installed CEstar 2.8 from here:
Here is the attachment for the ce-star for wm5, i personally tested with my dopod 818pro. Great software.

and used the keygen from the 1st post: ceStar28KeyGen.rar

After i have installed and registered, i did a soft reset, it still prompt UNregistered!

So what i did was I registered again, again, and again without soft reset. For about 4 times, i did a soft reset then.

It's now registered for good.

This is my first post, hope it's a helpful post for everyone. cheers

hi all,

just to announced, i did able to register with my atom life o2 today, well at first it unable to register, so here my steps:
1. install the ce start then soft-reset
2. click the icon "cung" from today screen
3. click the menu about or second from below (above "exit" menu),
4. click register tab (the second tab)
5. run keygen from windows PC
6. enter username : (owner name) click generate (right button in keygen)
7. enter the key to my O2 life, then tab "ok"

well it's showing registered, then telling wanna exit or not, and then soft-reset. "done"
