Notes regarding 3G capable devices
It is important for customers to realize the situation regarding 3G networks and availability of the CSD service while connected to a 3G service, e.g. UMTS.
While SecureGSM applications are listed as being compatible with these new devices, the device must be connected to the GSM network for CSD functionality to be available.
Most carriers to date have chosen not to enable CSD functionality while connected to 3G services.
Therefore, customers who purchase 3G enabled devices will not be able to make or receive SecureGSM calls while their device is in 3G mode.
To use SecureGSM applications, the device will have to be connected to 2G or 2.5G services, i.e. the GSM network.
To address this issue, please set your network BAND selector manually to “GSM” by using the following procedure:
For Windows Mobile Communicators (Pocket PC):
1. Select “Start” -> Settings.
2. Under the “Personal” tab select “Phone”.
3. Select the “Band” tab.
4. Under “Select your network type.” Choose “GSM”.
5. Choose “ok” to exit the settings page.
If you do not see the “Band” tab, please download this CAB file and execute on your device. After executing this CAB file, please follow the instructions 1 to 5 above.
The above CAB file contains a registry change for your device. No special application is installed when you execute the above CAB file.
Note: the default settings on these devices will be “Automatic”.
For Windows Mobile Smartphone:
1. Select “Start” -> Settings.
2. Select “Phone”.
3. Select “Band Select”.
4. Under “Network type.” Choose “GSM”.
5. Choose “ok” to exit the settings page.
Note: the default settings on these devices will be “Automatic”.

dled the program,BUT you have to contact the company via email with your device ID in order to have this activated & you have to have an order number(it states the following in the text of this application):
Thank you for purchasing SecureGSM(tm) Pro. Your product must be activated (licensed)
prior to use. Please follow the outlined procedure below to activate your software.
If you have not done so yet, please install SecureGSM(tm) Pro to your device.
Program Activation is done via a "licence file" which will be sent to you via e-mail by
SecureGSM or by your local distributor, depending on your purchase location. For us to be
able to generate the "licence file" for your device, we will need your Device ID. A Device
ID file is generated by SecureGSM(tm) Pro on the first launch.
----------------------------------------------------------------
1. Start the application for the first time to generate the Device ID file.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Please tap on Start, then Programs and tap the "SecureGSM Pro" icon to launch the
application. You will be greeted with the "Please activate your software"
screen. Press "ok" to exit.
The Device ID file is generated and placed in the SecureGSM(tm) Pro
program folder.
---------------------------------------------------------------
2. Send the Device ID file to SecureGSM.
---------------------------------------------------------------
For Windows desktops
Please connect your device via ActiveSync and click the "Explore" button. This will open
the Windows Explorer application. Navigate to the SecureGSM(tm) Pro installation folder*
and locate the file named "sgsm_dev_id.txt". Please copy this file to your desktop or other
convenient location and then reply to the email with the subject "SecureGSM: Your order #xx
Download your product" with the "sgsm_dev_id.txt" attached. Please leave the order
number in the subject field intact so as we can identify your request easily.
NOTE: If you are licensing multiple devices, please archive (zip) the Device ID files individually,
and name the archive files with names which are easily identifiable by you for each device.
e.g. Franks_phone.zip, Marys_phone.zip.

how do i activate this bro???
It would be nice,B.. you have to send your device id to the company.so um.....think what would happen if you did that??lol.Even if you do patch it,whenever you use your phone,it sends them your information and makes your sim virtually locked(meaning you cannot make calls from thesim card until you delete the program.I tested this application on one of my international SIM cards that i dont use that much and that is what happened. So unless there is a way around it.This is a useless program.
