U need a program called SignCode to sign the dll and make it work. I can't access that app now but when i do i will upload it for those needing it.

Also if you go here ([Only registered and activated users can see links] ) you can see that 8.6U1 only has an addition with a small bug fix, so in my opinion, no need to update.

Also if you go here you can see that 8.6U1 only has an addition with a small bug fix, so in my opinion, no need to update.

The small bug fix is actually an exploit, so if you think no need then that's up to you.

Thanks! I had to research a little to figure out how to use it but it worked perfectly. I wanted this version because it got rid of the huge menu bar i couldn't get rid of w/ 8.60. Maybe it's just me, but this version seems much faster than the previous one.

how do you exactly patch the dll?

I tried to copy and paste the opera.dll from the opera folder on my ppc. but when I patched it, it said, nothing was patched.

I am using ipaq 6965 wm5.

also what's the code sign?

Abbml, thankyou for your suggestion, but I tried that and all other obvious methods before posting. However, to humor you I tried it again and I still got an "invalid signature" error. Hopefully SignCode will work.

It works for me, I am using WM2003SE.
No need signcode, what is signcode?

When I patched, it works, then I copied back to my ppc...at first it said unregistered 30days evaluation, but after I soft reset....voila no nagging pop-up anymore.

Yes, 8.6 is faster than previous and I love the tabs style!

Ok, here's a Patched & Signed opera.dll, just copy and paste it over the original one and it should work. Just did it and its working on my HTC Wizard WM5

After replacing the patched dll And runing Opera I got the message Opera trial....30days left Is this normal?? After soft reset..it's working but how can I know if it is registered now?

Hello everyone I am a newbie and already love this site...
Can someone please help me with the installation of Opera 8.60u1? I have an Imate PDA2k w/WM2003SE first I installed the setup.exe this installed fine next I drag and dropped the patch onto the Opera folder in my PPC. I have installed it on my storage card is this the problem? I also noticed that the patch is an application I click on the appl than it said something like ready to patch and than it indicates which folder but I can't find mobile device this way I go to computer but mobile device is not listed ???? this has confused me even more can anyone explain to me how to apply patch exactly have I done something wrong with this procedure... Thanks in advance everyone for helping me out...

No worries buddy u haven't done anything wrong up todate u have done everything properly, now u have to replace the OPERA.DLL file to get registered and now just see the # 16 post done by Fone_Fanatic download (thnkx man for ur crack) the attachment in that OPERA.dll will be there , just replace it and do a SOFT RESET thats all ur OPERA is registered!!:idea:

After several installs and uninstall I finally got it to work at least I think so it no longer indicates it is a trial version.. Thanks to all for your help...

guys here is the latest version i got..
try this with the patch .dll file...
just follow the same procedure in the above thread..
paste the .dll file in the program folder then reset your device..
it works in my xda exec..

use keygen instead no more patching {[Only registered and activated users can see links]}, just enter ur device id... presto it will generate a code, it works on my opera 8.60 u2, & im using o2xdaII, go to opera.com, for the latest version & download it, & if ur experiencing 0day left & u cant open the opera, just go to windows using file manager & delete viger.dat for 30days trial period again, ciao! enjoy!!!

Can anyone help on changing the settings for Opera cache, cookies & temporary internet files to stored in SD Card instead of the main memory. I am having memory low issue in my MPx as the main memory is so insufficient!

it´s a nice, small, java based programm, and it´s freeware ;-)!
but it has a little less functions then opera(full) !
try it out! it also works great :-)!!!

iv tried to get it working on my xdaIIi unsucessfully, in the program folder under opera there is only the exe file, and nothing else, is there anotehr folder to which i need to overwrite the dll patch? im on wm2003
