bro ive the western and central europe VERSION 6.10 but the version wich i have is nearly 1.5 gb. and this version is only 840 mb. This map is only the central europa or only the western europe version.

1219 are for tomtom 6

The 1223_version_maps are for TomTom_5, but they also work in TT6.

The 1219 version_maps are for TomTom_6, and they contain information that is not managed by TomTom/nav/mobile_5, due to the newer TT6 software especially the roads speed limits that allows a much more accurate roads selections and time estimations.

If you are useing TT6, keep to the 660.1219 version_maps.

That's what I like to know, simply and could help lot of friends without trying something impossible to work, and avoid ask the same things.

Anyone noticed that the 1219 maps are slower than 1223? I don't know if I am just imagining it or if it is true. I use TomTom v6.01 on the Nokia E50 smartphone. By slower I mean the refresh rate when navigating, not just planing a route.

Well, I've tried Italia 6.60 1223 on my Tungsten T3 and it works very well.
I've tried it on my 6630 and I can't see the maps!

Someone has an idea to solve the problem?

I've a little experience with mobiles and tomtom, so I've tried all solutions I can try.

in the map directory I've found 2 .mid files.
Probably TomTom won't see the map for these 2 files.

The maps vary but both sorces have errors and missing roads.
It can't be used on TomTom 5.

Hey Everyone,

I do a lot of driving in the Simi Valley, Santa Clarita, Valencia area of California and the 6.5 version map of the Western Region which I currently have does not have a lot of the roads and malls that have been there for a couple years. Anyone know if in the 6.6 version is any better? Any advice would help!

does anybody has a working copy of 6.60 1256 (test4 keygen gives a wrong code for new TOMTOM ONE) ?

Just tested this one (http://thepiratebay.org/tor/3585390/TomTom_6_Western_Europe_660.1256.zip) - which is not by NAVTEQ, it is Tele Atlas map - and at least here in Finland it is not up to date (lots of missing roads, 650.1128 (=not WE, but Scandinavia+) has some newer roads). Works with TT ONE (1st Gen) and Key.exe

IT plus major roads of WE v660.1219 in my TT6.010 (7640) does not work at all!!!
I installed the TT6.010 cracked by binpda.
i can make it work on with the 660.1223 version of IT plus major roads of WE v660.1219...
anyways anyone using TT6.010 on N73 can tell me if 1219 is working in his device?
what are the differences, if there are differences, between the 2 versions?

The previous version (650) is clearly better!!!

The speed limits and other planning data are missing (or reduced) because of the compatibility with TT 5.

If you have TT 6 (that is capable of more advance route calculation) better stick with the versions made only for it.

Try IT_plus_major_roads_of_WE V660.1219 or better still (if you have the space on the MC) Western_Europe V660.1256: the maps are from NavTeq and they are IMHO superior to TeleAtlas ;)

TomTom classification of the maps it's a bit confusing.. higher number doesn't mean newer version :?

Anyway the answer to your question should be:
66o.1223 = TeleAtlas map for TT5/6
660.1219 = TeleAtlas map only for TT6

Maps should be exactly the same, only the .1223 has less route calculation information (road classification, speed limits, etc..) that are incompatible with TT5.

I used before Italy map 652.1204: it's TeleAtlas and should be the newest avaiable.
I find however that the the NavTeq Western_Europe V660.1256 it's far more precise in route calculation. It's also the newest Navteq available. If you have space (900MB on the card) I strongly suggest you try it.

Anyone? Or don't they make non-plus versions anymore?

I think, you've to download the PLUS-map of the BeNeLux; the other BeNeLux-Map, is normally given when buying TT-Navigator 6 . . .
And those maps, are not useable on a TT5-device . . .

However: BeNeLux-Plus 660.1223 is for TT5 AND TT6 . . . !!!

Seems good to me. I've been using it on the road for a couple of weeks.
The map data seems good, very close to that of Western Europe Map 660.1256 (Navteq?) but the embedded road speed data is much more complete. e.g. dual carriageway near me has speed limit of 50mph, 1219 knows that but 1256 doesn't.
The other alternative is UK & IE v660.1223 but that doesn't have any Rev 6 features at all.

903 MB so may just fit on 1Gb SD card

Hi All,

I'm new here but seems like a really good site.

I'm after a bit of help, I've downloaded great britain plus 6.60 v1223 from a couple of different places but when I try to unzip it the cline file always failes saying its corrupt.

Am I doing something wrong or is there a problem with this map??

Can I get this to work or am I better off getting a bigger memory card for my phone and using a western europe map instead??

You are using TomTom 6 on PDA (am I right?). You can only use maps with version 650 and above like 660.1212 or 660.1223 or 652.1211 etc

Ok I see, ty :) Installed Destinator, works better than TomTom6 with Cen_Eur_plus_major_roads_of_WE_v660.1212 (for Latvia the map is too buggy in that Eastern_Europe_608 release)
You are using TomTom 6 on PDA (am I right?). You can only use maps with version 650 and above like 660.1212 or 660.1223 or 652.1211 etc

according to TomTom newest maps are wersion 660.1219
(for TomTom 6). 652 is over half year older

maps 660.1223 are the same as 660.1219, only some part of information is cut off (road signs, speed information) for compatibility with TomTom 5

and for all, who have searched and not found :), especially new Scandinavia and UK maps :)

all Europe maps 660.1219 (wersion Plus_MRoWE and country only) and more (installs, fotoradars, pda emulator for easier planning :)
All maps are with Fotoradars database from 01.2007 :)

Should those Fotoradar files work? I can see files in memcard (*.ov2 and *.bmp), but its not possible to activate cameras through Plus Services or any other way... :rolleyes:

Generaly, I'm dissapointed with TT6, Centrals Europe map doesn't even have my own town, Eastern Europe map for TT5 is much better...

You can use Eastern Europe (v608) also with TT6.
It works perfectly (but beware that the map is a bit old and it's reported to be unreliable)

Nope, my TT6 (version 6.02) doesn't see that map and yes, I know it's unreliable.
However, it still works on TT5 Moblie ver. 5.2 without any troubles (I have both versions on my SD card atm). I think I'll change my iMate for MDA Vario, I'll install IGo which is much better for navigation (in my country particulary).

Nope, my TT6 (version 6.02) doesn't see that map and yes, I know it's unreliable.
However, it still works on TT5 Moblie ver. 5.2 without any troubles (I have both versions on my SD card atm). I think I'll change my iMate for MDA Vario, I'll install IGo which is much better for navigation (in my country particulary).

Only TomTom 6 for symbian phones works great with all maps (f.e. 645, 650, 660, 665).

both maps have some roads in LT, LV, UA, SL and more
PL-CZ_HU_SK_Plus has also plan of St Petersburg and Moscov

Just tap screen on the bottom right corner (at Driving View), then tap the field that shows version number.

All the maps work with all types of Tomtom V6.
Non of the v660.**** maps will work in any of the Tomtom V5 except for any maps with version no 660.1223 - this will work in both V5 & V6.

Tomtom V6 works in most devices, but not in the earlier Symbian mobiles such as the 6680 & N70 - only V5 will work on these handsets.

Can anyome confirm that UK and Ireland v660 .1223 , is a "cut down" version of 660.1219? is They are BOTH the latest map but v660 .1223 has some stuff (speed limits etc) removed to make it compatiable with TT5?

So if you have a TT Ove v2 the best map to go for is v660 .1223 , as its the latest and most complete?

Only difference is that maps 660.1219 are designed only for TT6 and contain more information (speed limits on the roads, navigation directions in form of roadsigns on the highway (not only road number but also direction toward what city you are heading).
Maps 660.1223 are without this information for compatibility with TT5 version of the soft.
And for all devices with version 6 of the soft (GO 510, Navigator 6 etc) best map is 660.1219
Check what version of the soft has TT One v2
if it is 5.xxx you have to use 660.1223, if 6.xx - the best is 660.1219
And best way when you are not sure what will work is always is to test.
Copy map 660.1219, try it, if it works - happyend :), if not, try 660.1223

I know its off thread abit but just got a sandisk extreme 3 - 2 gig card for tomtom 510 what a diff in speed was wondering what the biggest card you can put in as ive seen 8 gig card now

I think that TomTom devices could use cards to 2GBs. TomTOm devices use FAT filesystem and for cards above 2GB you need FAT32, byt I have not tested since use 2GB card too :)

These maps work on TomTom systems installed on symbian phones, on PDA and TomTom GOs.
The different hardware/systems require different versions of the same map.

V 660.1223 (TeleAtlas) seems to work on all systems
V 660.1219 (TeleAtlas) works only on TT6 and GOs
V 660.1256 (Navteq) works on GOs and possibly TT6. Somebody will correct me if I am wrong.
I am not familiar with HTC P330 or Ww2005 so cannot tell you any more.
Come on guys. Anyone help Geraldi?

thanks for your answer Ken, i have made an ideea for what to search. i have tomtom6 and route66 on a nokia N80. but i was thinking to change the phone with a htc P3300 that has windows 2005 on it an gps integrated. i will find maps for it( p3300 hat tomtom6 already instaled). it's a big site :)

One thing that puzzles me with this discussion about 660 1223 and 1219.
I have looked at the Western Europe Map of both versions and I have this question.
Why are the 1223 maps dated in December 2006 while the 1219 version is dated in September 2005?

I'm talking about the date/time stamp on the files themselves.

PS Have also looked at the Navteq map 660 1256 and that is also September 2005. OBviously this is not the real time stamp for those files because the Navteq map appear to be more up to date than any other!

Another interesting point. The Activation Code for the 1223 and the 1219 versions is the same.

the date/time stamp of the files is not real. Somehow all files in map installation cab files from TomTom have those date of Sep. 2005.
When you properly install maps in you device using TomTom Home files are extracted and have date of installation.
When you manually extract maps from cab files you wil have 09.2005 time/stamp.

Maps are platform and OS independent. :)
All maps 660.1219 work on any platform and OS with TT6
so if you can install TT6 on your device (phone, palm, pda with Wm2003SE or WM5, or GO device) you can use 660.1219 Maps.
Only application is OS and platform dependent and you have do use proper install file.
if your device is not supported by TT6 you can try to install TT5 and use 660.1223 Maps :)

There is no logical need (for me) to use 660.1223 with TT6

660.1256 is similar to 660.1219 only from Navteq, not Teleatlas
Some small roads are better drawed but highway exits are not all numbered and named (I have tested in Germany) and for me it's much more important than small village roads. In Teleatlas 660.1229 all highway exits are properly numbered and named.
