Guardian is the new antitheft system for Symbian Series 60 devices.
Every time you switch on your mobile telephone, Guardian proceeds with authentication of the inserted sim card; if authentication fails, Guardian send a notification sms message to a previously set telephone number.
In addition, the system features remote control functions, i.e. deleting your photographs/phone book/text messages/video/audio data in case of loss or theft of your mobile phone (see Plugins section).

HI Friends, I installed Guardian 2.1 Beta (Limited version) on my nokia 6681.I have changed the sim and the Guardian Software didnot ask for any Password when i inserted the new SIM.Now wheneve i switch on the phone it is sending messages to my brother's no.Can anyone help me in this regard like.

How do i uninstall the guardian software. ?

u need to put back the old sim when u installed guardian. then u can see the application in ur phone. then open the application and u'll find an uninstall option in the application itself.

i tried using the plugins with this cracked version but couldn't get any message. did anybody get the plugins working with this cracked version.

this cracked doesnt work!! when i change with new sim card, the icon guardian missing from my phone menu display ( I check with fileman too in :C and :E - No guardian.app in the sistem/apps) and there's No sms to the recipient.than i get back the old sim card, the apps appear again in my phone with old sim card..

right now i use N-protect combine with advance device lock, that apps protect my phone very well.

man, cracking 2nd edition software is trivial with nowadays tools and there is no protection that can resist. You just need some spare time and a little knowledge of basic C++ and ARM assembly programming.

Guardian has been around for quite a long time and has not been tampered so far because all cracking groups do have respect for Marco's (not mine yet) work.

But now there are these newbie chinese lamers who have no respect nor knowledge, besides not even being able to crack properly...

Its the same app for every language, so the czech version is already cracked. Just install the english one, and copy the czech language file (Guardian.rsc which I have attached - unzip it first) to C:\system\apps\guardian and E:\system\apps\guardian

It's not true...on my n70 with the latest no-brand firmware it freezes the phone!!!I could seen the language changed when I deleted and pasted the new language file,but when I restarted the phone it freeze on the nokia logo..I couldn't format (hard reset) the phonepc didn't recognized it,now my phone is in nokia assistance!

how can I language file (a file in the app directory!!) damage your phone?! there is something else goin on with your phone - Guardian doesnt load up until after the Nokia logo. I just tested the czech language file in my N70 (latest firmware, no-brand, UK) and it works ok with guardian loading up in a weird language which I assume is czech.

I'm sure it's the language file..the first time I changed it and it freezes..I take it to nokia center..When the phone arrived I see on a paper software corrupted..nokia centre load on my phone the latest no-brand italian firmware..At home the first thing I did was load guardian and I changed the language as the first time..the phone freeze on nokia logo..I don't know..now my phone is for the second time in nokia center (luckly I pay nothing..)..

knowing if plugins works in this modded version is required to consider a proper crack or just a wrong patch.

well.. can't get your point, really.
If you look it this way also freeware apps get cracked (read: FExplorer).
So there's nothing to be surprised of.

you have to install the file in the first page,then you register the app,and you have all functions enable (even plugins).

tested on 6600. The only working plugins is CONFIG command.

What do you do if the Guardian is enabled and you've lost both the authorized and the recipient sims and you want to use a new sim? Is this the solution?:

To disable Guardian, you just have to send an sms to your mobile with this text body:
//YOURPASSWORD//CONFIG//DISABLE

you can delete in mmc and in memory phone guardian's files with fexplorer.

guardian plugins like making the "stolen" phone alarm, lock, etc does not worked with this "cracked" version. From symbianguru website, it says that you need to donate first before plugins would work. That means that you will have two donation. one for registering the product for multisim function. second for plugin activation.
