hi can someone help me sort out my pc

i have no idea what to do, when i go to task manager and click performance it says my cpu is running at 100% when running windows media player 11 and got two web pages up and running . I am running a MSI Mega PC 651 , 2.60 Gzh, 512mb of RAM xp pro/media center is also running slow.:???: :!: :| :iphonepost: :ilove:
