Gotext.V2.0beta.S60.J2ME

Description
GoText is a program for mobile phones that allows you to send text messages over GPRS/EDGE/UMTS. It was made in Java (J2ME) MIDP 1.0 CLDC 1.0 and so available for all java mobile devices.
It is an open source and multi language project and it would be a free world wide sms gateway. It is released under the GNU GPL v.2 license.

A whole new GoText 2 BETA is ready now.

New features are:
- image codes support
- the program starts in english
- you can select a preferred service so you won't select him any time in services list if you want
- some fixes


MainMenu

GoText allows to save on the shipment of messages via GSM because, through the single cost of logon, he uses free services of shipment messages via web. The GPRS is a communication protocol that allows packet data transferring so you pay for traffic data and not for how much time you stay connected.

Install this service on your goText with the URL that you find below ( look for SendMore) in this way :
In service settings
In USER field : the Country acronym (example : au for Australia)
in NICK field : a nickname

use numbers without international prefix and SMS should be delivered!

Now with goText you can send text messages also in France to Orange mobiles, you have to be registered to h**p://www.veryphone.net And it has been added sms-us service that allows you to send text messages to all US numbers. Finally, the service T-MobileUS is working and you can text with that text messages to T-Mobile users in the US. See the configuration below

Configuration
Once that you have installed the program, you'll need to configure it.
Start the program, select from main menu "Services". Then you'll see a menu that will let you to set services( services list usable are shown in this page),internal address book and general options :

Services:
Here you can set up available services to send text messages(sms,mms,email). The first time the program will show a list of default service that must be configurated with your data in order to use it. You can sure delete services that you don't need and add other ones.

Service configuration:
In order to configure default services you have to click on them and put your data on (authentication data if required or a nick)
A service already configurable will be shown with a green sign and it will be able to send text messages. A service not yet configurated will be shown with a red error image and it will not be able to be used until all service data are put :
You have to press on the "New" button to add a new service. It will be shown a screen that will allows you to put the service name and its URLhttp://www.gotext.org/modules/cjaycontent/gotext_screen3.png
Delete a service:
Just press "Delete" button while you're on the service item Services list :

Addressbook:
Here you can set up the program addressbook. It's possible to make/modify/delete a contact of a group. Contacts will be shown in alphabetical orderhttp://www.gotext.org/modules/cjaycontent/gotext_screen4.png
New contact:
To add a new contact select "New contact" and so insert name.number and/or email.
New group:
To add a new group select "New group" and then name and numbers(max 5). In groups is not possible to insert emails.

Modify contact/groups:
In order to modify an already present contact or group, select item that you want to modify and select "Modify". Then you'll have to apply modify with "Apply".

Delete contact/group:
Just select "Delete" on the selected item .

Language:
It's possible to use the program in English,Italian and Spanish

Characters counter:
Not activated by default. If you activate it, you'll see how many chars you can use while writing text. This feature could give problems on some devices like Motorola and Samsung ones,anyway you can activate/deactivate it always.

Data transferring:
POST by default, is an advanced option, please leave it as is if you don't know much about HTTP request method (POST or GET)
USE: Once that you have set up services, you can use start to use it!:

select Text from main menu

select the service chat you want to use. Services already set,so ready to use, will shown with a green image.Next to the you'll see how many text message available there are and how many text you have sent.

Once that you have selected the service,select New to write a new message or Saved if you want to backup a stored message. It's possible to save max 10 text.

I f you want to write a text messages just select Text . Next to this voice there is the characters counter, if you write a text too much long or if text is empty, you won't be able to send text and there will be a red error image.

Select Addresses to send text to numbers or emails.You can put more addresses if service supports it, you can put the number with keypad or reading it from internal cellphone addressbook .

If fields are full and correct now you can send text selecting Send. You can see anytime last text sent and you can send stored text.For now, only an italian service is supported to send sms via image code, but as soon all other ones should be supported too because the program has this new useful feature!

All J2ME compatible java phones.

tried 2 send with the default one set up on it but wouldnt send im t-mobile uk :(
