I hope to get people to make usefull A-GPS function on our motorolas. I have tryed couple of gps programs, but liked the most wayfinder - now I need a crack for it.
Has anybody managed to make motorola to work as
GPS NAVIGATION FOR CAR?

Maybe You should try using the MVGPS2?
I thing it's the best program to navigation for motorolas...

I will try it, but I think it would not guide me to the specific location as standard gps does..

It is also very hard to find maps for my country, Croatia.
Seems to me that Croatia is to small to make maps for couple of roads.

I use smartcom GPS 1.2 & it works flawlessly in my a1000 with internal GPS. I made my own map, scanned a complete map of jakarta & then convert it with ogf tool. After just calibrate the map by picking some points that representing large monuments & intersections in jakarta. When i tried, just missed a bit..

I've read the guide to install tomtom on a1000 in other forum. I'm not allowed to share links so try google it: machman. I've tried installing tomtom using the guide & it worked but i lose the guide. It's easy, just copy the files into the exact folder & walaaa...but..,don't remember the folders.

i use tomtom on my a1000. i have had it for over a year now. it works well with bt gps receiver, i use a holux 236 gpslim. it will not work with the internal gps

i do not use nopex and that is why i do not have an x: drive
if you have an x: drive then just substitute d: for x:

there are maps of eastern europe available for tom tom v5.2. i think croatia is included in the PL_CZ_HU map
if you have the tom tom application then just drop them in to your tf card.

I have instaled tom tom, works great, even has map of Croatia....
If I can just get this freaking A-GPS working with with tom tom it would be great.
I bought this phone just because GPS function, didn't know it doesn't have any relation with standard gps. And it wasn't very easy thing to get this phone!"!!!

TomTom doesn't work with internal GPS chip.

You'll have to use Bluetooth GPS module.
