Some java games include really cool audio stuff, especially Gameloft's ones :heart: , so, I intend to post here my rips and hope you enjoy them !

For those who don't know what's a RIP, it is a pack including game resources that are normally inaccessible for users ;)

These ones include midi files (even short ones) and amr (when available), spirite rips are coming soon...
Theorically all games can be ripped, so, you can make a request for any game by posting here a link to an uploaded one in this forum (that could save me a big time)

About the way I ripped them....hmmm...Gameloft preferred to protect their games to avoid getting'em stuffed by un-skilled mods :vom: ;I don't want myself being involved in a such CRIME !!! :axe:
So they're not easy to rip and things better stay as they are...:|

Take this not big archive, which contains my own rips... there are many games rips

Most of the files are with .zip.mid extension, just remove .mid and open in WinRAR/WinZIP/other archiver.

Okay, if interested in game ripping, get here an app or... a tool as it is not meant to be posted here.
Rippy (as i called it) rips resources from java archives, i used to do it manually with some hexadecimal editors but this app made it really easy.
As it is the v0.1 a, it has a compatibility rate of 50% with most of the games here...so test it and enjoy the results.

IMPORTANT:
BEFORE opening a . jar archive, you MUST extract its content and RE-zip it in .zip format then use Rippy or the trick will not work...
You can also drop the .zip file directly on the app
All the files ripped are not supposed to be in the right format (it means that some ripped resources will be corrupted), this is because I used some basic tricks to identify them.
Dont forget to make backups :p

Yes, the 6th midi file (always the last Ripped by Rippy) still be corrupted, I ripped it manually, anyway gr8 thx to yener90 ;)

In-game music is MIDI, your phone synthesizer sounds just better than your PC's sound card

Hello everyone here.
No update for Rippy, but some tricks:

For jar files which does'nt work with rippy, you can do this:
- Extract all files into one directory (use wirar with option "Extract to <FileName>")
- Go inside this directory
- Select all files within
- Right click and choose "Add to archive..." option
- In the dialog box with archive parameters use the above ones:
Archive format: ZIP
Compression method: Fastest
All other checkmarks unmarked

You will get a .zip file with the original jar file name
You can rename it to .jar or just use it as it is with rippy.
This should give better results
