r1cardo 7th January 2007, 19:24 Hy there
I'm from Portugal and I'm a beginner in this things.
I had searched in the forum but this have so much information that I didn't understand nothing lol.
Basicly I want to know if it is possible to put the tomtom software or a similar software in my nokia n70, of corse the last version and if exists maps of portugal for it.
Ho by the way HAPPY 2007!!!
and I'm sorry for the bad English
KenBruce 7th January 2007, 21:10 Hi Ricardo,
Welcome to the forum.
Yes you can put TomTom on your Nokia N70. I have it on mine. The latest version you can put on your N70 is v5.202. There is a later version available but not for Symbian 60 v2 which is what you have. The latest version TT6 is for Symbian 80 phones.
You will find a copy of TTv5.202 on this site. You will also need a map of Portugal which is also available from this site.
Make sure you have a memory card which is large enough to hold your map/s and programmes.
The last thing you will require is a GPS Bluetooth receiver. Probably the best is TomTom's own one but others are available in the range of 40 euros or there abouts.
Hope this helps

r1cardo 8th January 2007, 22:30 One more question but it isn't about Tomtom
How can I sincronize my N70 with my microsoft outlook. I think I could do it but i can only see the tasks and the calendar I can't see my e-mails.
KenBruce 9th January 2007, 00:47 I can't answer that one. I don't use Outlook and I don't have email facility on my N70. I can browse the internet but can't pick up emails from my ISP.
Perhaps someone else could help.
r1cardo 9th January 2007, 01:19 Thanks any way

Nokia PC Suite CAN'T synchronise email :(
Only contacts, calendar, task and memos.
You can use Mail for Exchange to read, write and synchronise Outlook emails on your mobile. Works in a similar way like Blackberry.
Beware that it needs to connects to internet and can be expensive if you don't have a data plan.
r1cardo 28th January 2007, 23:28 I'm here again. I'd created a new post but no one answer me so I have to post it here I already have the tomotom software and the iberian maps but when i trie to install the maps on my N70 it says that I don't have suficcient memory. How can it hapen if I have a new card with 1gb and the phone recognize it? I think that its because the program is trying to install the maps in the phone memory and not in the card memory. How can I put the memory card like the primary memory? :???:

How are you installing TomTom?
Normally you copy the map with a card reader or a cable connection directly on the card...
