After the installation of IGO_My_Way_2006_plus-2007.03.26.zip and trying to run for the first time in the pda, an error message "HardwareIdError" is displayed.

Any idea who I fix it?

I used the map this weekend here in Thessaly! The routing was so bad! What a disappointment! If I was following the instructions I would make double the milage from Karditsa to Volos!
Its probably a copy from airphotos and nothing more!
REALLY AWFUL!!!!

Are you sure have done a clear installation in your Sd card ,because i find out that the newer map of Greece(2006.10 V4 : 070320 : 16MB)has good coverage in country and excellent in athens & salonikh ,for example in my town ( lamia ) and wide area ( fthiotis) is better in details than the latest of NGI one ! :supz: :supz:

Coverage is one think! Accuracy and correctly graded roads is another think! Believe me copying a map from air photos is something that can be done in a couple of months, on the other hand recording data on the streets and timing distances on the road is something that takes years even in a small country like Greece. When Navteq for a example one of the biggest map data creating companies in the world does not have a so detailed map like iGO and when NGi after I don't know how many years has less coverage, do you still believe that iGO managed to have a proper and accurate map of Greece in just a couple of months.
Try getting iGO with this latest map to make a routing from Kalamata to Alexandroupoli and see the distance it gives you and then try Destinator. You will understand what I am talking about.
And yes it was a clean install.

With "IGO My way 2006 Plus" i can`t activate alert for speedcams.
I see them in the POI, but in the alert menu there is nothing about speedcams.

Goto main menu->options->general->warnings and 1.activate speed cams & sound

but the list of speed cams is not updated as in destinator one:cry:

Thanks for the 2006 plus :D
I had already I-Go 2006, so I only replaced the files on card with files from IGO_My_Way_2006_plus-2007.03.26.zip. When I started PDA, I-Go asked me if I want to update. And it is working fine. The license file is working with old maps (2006.01) and with new one also (2007.01). Everything found in this thread. Thanks.

After using Destinator, TomTom smart2go etc i can say that this one the best by far in all aspects.
Runs great in VGA screens.
Some minor spelling errors only.
johner you did a great job once again.

I decided to give this a try after using tomtom for a long time. I must agree first impressions are very good ! Now I need to find an app to convert my tomtom pois to igo compatible....

Guys, please help me a bit!

I installed the IGO Plus Update (downloaded all the three .rar files from the beginning of the thread to a folder in my PC, copied that folder on my SD card and then run setup.exe located in that folder). The installation went smoothly but when I start IGO I only have the Greek language installed and I only see the map of Greece.

What should I do to have Romanian and English as languages in IGO Plus and to have all the maps of Europe? Step by step pls to make it easier.

Sorry if this sounds silly to some of you and maybe you got tired oif this kind of questions.

Hi,

I managed to install other languages and voice commands on IGO Plus besides Greek. Now I have Romanian menus and voice commands.:lol:

The product seems to be working perfectly but It doesn't seem to accept any other maps. I tried to decode the map for Romania using MioDecode, placed that map in the same folder with the Greece map but when I start the program I get a message telling me that some of the maps are expired.

I have the all maps beta license.

What should I do?

Dear all, don' t you have any problem with tha navigation voices in iGO 2006 Plus? It starts o.k., but after 3-4 instructions/directions it just mutes and needs a restart (the software) to start over, but it does the same over and over. I have tested it on a Qtek 9000, an HTC TyTN, a Qtek S200 and a Mio A701. They all worked well with the previous version (iGO 2006, not the Plus one) and with the latest maps of Greece. Any ideas?

Also when I set backglight in I-Go, it resets my OS setting. I set in OS to turn off the display only when running on battery after 3 minutes. When I start I-Go, it sets this to 1 minute on both (battery or external power).

I didn't used 2007 beta. Only stable 2006 version. Yesterday I downloaded crack for the sound issue and now the exit is working.

The map has no details on streets for these suburbs.

I dont understand the exhilaration that this map is comparable to the NGI map, far from it.

Sorry. I thought you were talking about software problem. I wasn 't takling about coverage. Of course there is no comparison to NGI maps yet.

I'm using an HTC x7500 in portrait mode (VGA). Do you have anything in mind? I have also tried to use speed cams from http://www.poiplaza.com/en/poi-databases?pc_id=19&lang=en

You may download a lot of Skins and Schemes.
The one that I use now is Andy's and you can find it here:

Just create a folder skin in ...\Program files\IGO\ and put the zip in there. Do not extract the contents.

For the POIs Icons you can use a scheme like riksday (attached). Copy it in the ...\IGO\Scheme\ and select it from IGO menu.

This is how to update Speedcams in iGO Plus.
Rename the txt file to speedcams.txt. Copy it to SDcard/iGO/POI/Speedcam. The file will automatically update the database.

In Settings/Map/Map options in daylight profile i can now choose Riks Day but.. Where is the Andys skin that i have inserted in a folder in \Program Files\iGO 2006\skins without unziping it's content as you said?
The path \Program Files\iGO 2006\skins is not located in Storage card correct?

Sorry, the folder must be Skin not Skins I will change it in my previews post too.
It should be in your IGO root folder (Main memory or storage card, depends on your installation). You don 't have to select Andy's skin. It will be used by default. You should have only one skin in ...\IGO\skin\ and this is going to be used by default.

An alternative for color POIs is the attached file. \
1.First make a backup of your data.zip found in ...\IGO\.
2.Then extract the contents of data.zip.
3.Extract the contents of ColourPOIsQVGA_VGA.zip You get two folders gfx and vga.
4.Copy the folders into the data.zip contents. (In question to replace existing click yes).
5.Create the data.zip back with winzip (for example).
6.Put it back in ...\IGO\

It works fine for me. I open the archive data.zip with 7zip portable application and I drag in gfx folder the extracted contents of ColourPOIsQVGA_VGA.zip which replace my old fashion icons. I do not even extract data.zip contents but I wrote so (extract them) because it 's easier to understand what I 'm doing. Do not delete gfx folder. Just replace the existing files. There must be other files too, which stays intact.
Folder vga should not be in gfx folder but in data (see attached pic). This is required for vga mobiles.

gfx and vga are folders (not files) inside data.zip file. They should be in there.

gfx folder contains 2 folders inside
-> day
-> night

vga has a -> gfx folder inside which also contains 2 folders
-> day
-> night

day and night folders contains the bitmap files of the icons.

See the screenshot with the data.zip archive contents above. This is the root of data.zip.

Had the same problem so i uninstalled the program. made sure I had my australian maps, voice and language in the right folders and then re insalled it. Problem solved. Only problem is it doesn't exit out of the program properly but a soft reset fixes that. Can live with that cause it has far more information than TomTom

Try a clean install with latest verion IGO2006 Plus which solves the exit problem. This was a 2007 beta problem.

It is better as a program with much more easy interface but the maps (at least for greece) are not so good... The maps of NGi are 10 times better... I hope in the future they will take care of greece too...

Destinator has better Greek map but IGO is a lot better as a program. I use IGO only in Athens and I' m very happy with it.

I cannot install Igo on my ETEN x500!
I copied all the files in my storage card and run the Setup.exe and in the middle of the installation i get an error message :Cannot copy files. Error code: 0051.

Good Idea but i already have overwrite the original one (miomap license) with yours one, i restart my PNA (mio c510) anf i got this: HardwareIDerror :cry:

We talk the same freco... The truth is that i haven't tested much iGO in athens but soon i will try it and i will see... I just said that if iGO takes care of greek maps, it can be in the top to greece too...

I put it as it is (the zip file) in the skins folder but when starting iGo, i have the message below and the program halts.

Hi! I have an Eten X500+ with installed GPS receiver and the Destinator as GPS program. How can I use the IGO 2007? It doesn't recognise the GPS hardware or maybe I'm not doing the right way. Please any help will be great. Thank you in advance.

johner hello again, please, can you make a zip/rar/7z package with a pre-installed, cracked version of iGo2006 MyWay (3-2007) for us to download/unzip and use on our PDAs? The links some have been posting here are nearly ALL broken, and it would be great to have a working version on-line!

It seems iGo 2007 SE is inferior to iGo 2006 MyWay...

Stay cool guys. This forum is not Greek. We needed links for the program and the maps. So I tried to find new as the old is not valid anymore.
I do not think that it 's a problem. If you cannot find Greek voices you can always ask here.
By the way I prefer English voices.

freco, wonderboy good morning. This was just a tip (regarding greek voices) I searched in the RAR file, and although Greek language exists, no Greek voices appear in the corresponding (setup) folder. That's all!

tsipistri, these two downloads contain the same files (except for more languages/voices on the igo18.6.2007.rar).

However, besides the iGo.exe for replacement, they contain different in contents but same in file size application.dat file in the 'iGO' folder. What is this file used for?

if you want more languages copy from the other download the language files and voice files that you need and paste in the installation files where is the igo files and iff you need greek speedcameras copy the file gr speed cameras .kmz file in the directoty igo/poi/speedcameras
open the application and go to settings/ alerts enable speed cameras and check the apropriate warning

I try this version and seems like perfect with response.Some mulfuctions

with installing but i fight it.So no freeze to closing any more (all tests are

statics no on the move) previous version on first post freeze while

closing,always with gps pairing.The zoom unzoom function is very fast while

previous so slow and freeze.For this two things i think goes better.

MY CONFIGURATION

I install the iGO + 2577 folders to SDcard,put this map

Greece_2007.01_070515.fbl in Maps folder run the autorun.exe from 2577

folder,and the app installing in the main memory program files\iGO 2006 folder.

(Why don't has selection to install in SDcard?..OEO?..anyway),then i don't

run the app but cut paste the file iGO.exe from farmaki folder to program

files\iGO 2006 folder on main memory and replace the existing file.Then cut

the iGO 2006 folder from main memory\program files and paste to

SDcard\program files folder so i have more main memory for other apps.BUT

DOIND THIS must delete the existing shortcut of program that find in

Applications folder and makes new shortcut with file explorer from new

place SDcard\program files\iGO 2006 and that's it.

Then run the program and configurate it.Then i do soft reset,and displays a

popup that says (there is an updated application make update YES or NO)

i select NO and the prog runs perfect.

Yesterday selected YES ....kai tin patisa.... and stay wake and read the

thread again and again and my brain is gone.

MY MACHINE IS TOUCH FLO with Destinator 7 and iGO my way 2006 plus 18-6-07 the last one

installed both and plays perfect........for the time....tomorrow....how knows?

if something makes wrong please tell me to knows.

Hi all.

Can someone tell me how to get other keyboard layouts except English. What I mean is I need Croatian Keyboard for some letters because for now I'm unable to search for streets that begins with Croatian letters (for Cro users šđžčć).
I did install Croatian layout so Igo is in Croatian just keyboard is not.

You don't need them... here's an example:
If you're looking for "Šibenik", just tipe "Sibenik". The same goes for the streets..

Hm, it seems that this doesn't work :cry:. I live in outskirts of Zagreb and name of my street is "Štrpet", but when I start to type "Str" there is no letter P to choose from. But if I manualy position my self to my street is says "35/90 25 Štrpet Zagreb blizu". I even tried to begin with 35/90 but when I press 3 that's it, no other number or letter is available :?.

On older iGO it worked like a charm. Any other suggestion?

Dude, when you are in de Adress Mode pannel, searching for a particular street, hit the keyboard button until special caracters apears, maybe it works. I don't have the croatian language installed so I can't give a try. Good luck!

Only thing that button does is changes Z and Y letters, and on second press it shows numbers only. No luck there either.

I hve installed MyIgo plus (18-06 and priors to ) Artemis, Trinity, Prophet with no problem in WM5 and WM6 . Now I am trying to install it in a ASUS P-535 WM6 (TH) WWE. After installation I get a message " Hardware error".

I tried to run the setup.exe and got the error: "Cannot find SETUP (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all the required libraries are available"

What is wrong here? I'm running the setup.exe from my SD card. I'm using Mio C310x

Just copy installation folder (IGO) to SD card, and create a shortcut (with resco explorer for example), or run the executable from there.
You may keep this folder for future installations with simple copy.
You can also move igo.db file which contains your custom POI and it 's located under \My device\My Documents\IGO2006\ to installation directory. It worked fine for me.

hi, in previous versions i had the "setup.exe" file, and i just clicked on it and the installation started.
now, i've downloaded the june edition and there's no setup.exe!
only a "autorun.exe".

so what should i do? how do i install iGO?

Rename 2577 folder on sd (2577_old) in case there is already something in there.
Copy both folders on SD.
Run autorun.exe
Then you have to download the map of your choice and copy it in \Storage Card\iGO\maps\
Delete 2577 folder and rename back the old one (2577_old) to 2577.
This will work.

1- yes , if u have a big sd card u can put any map u want 2-i dont know ( but if mean put them together u dont need that, just put as many u can to your card and u r good to go ) 3- u can use mio maps and it will run in no second

Since you're using O2 atom, there's no built-in GPS receiver in it. So first thing, buy a "bluetooth gps receiver". Then install a gps software & map (tomtom, iGO & OziEplorer are the 3 best for me). Then pair your atom to your bluetooth gps receiver & you can start to navigate.

You can search within this forum for the details & installation procedure for the gps softwares.

Problem solved. I am using Asus A636n and problem was in last SDHC patch from ASUS...
So, if U have this PDA and haven´t SDHC SD card, don´t install this patch, cause iGo wll not work.:supz:

for some reason, I can't copy the maps to my pocket pc... activesync says conversion failed, and the file is being used by another process... I can transfer any other file but not the damn map!!!!!

please help!

1.U can connect your PDA as Removable disc and after copy what you want without conversion.

2. Check conversion rules in ActiveSync...

To nightman0040: are you using WinCEfs with Total Commander 7.01? And which version of ActiveSync? 4.5? And what version you have on your PDA, Win2003 or WM 5? I've tried to see if WinCEfs works with the latest software--both ends.... Thanks.

usually with the map updates, the file size increases.

i have installed this map but i cannot notice any differences. can someone confirm this or note the changes that have been made? if any?
