There is no Cyprus Map for this application.

I am sure that i saw it in a leaflet of electronic stores at Cyprus with the interface of igo or miomaps. i don't remember the model of pda but it says with Cyprus map.

They may have used better compression algorithms.

they must have removed something so this is what has happened:

if you try to search streets in thessaloniki for instace, you cannot, only option is the center of the city.

this happens to other cities as well.

thats why the map size is smaller, they have taken off the street search from some cities

prefer the 070515 map, is more complete

Hi,

I have managed to load the program and maps onto my T-Mobile Vario2 using the instructions on this forum.

Problem I am having at the moment is that the program finds it hard to locate the GPS ( bluetooth connection) if I use the 'detect' function. If I manually locate it, the GPS is found but the program then shuts down!

Any suggestions on curing this would be appreciated.

It seems that you run PPC executable from your PC. Try to copy all files to PPC and run setup from there.

matalas thanks, you are the best! But a question: how is this map compared to NGi's on Destinator? Destinator maps are about 40MB large, this one is 21MB each (language). Is it just a compression issue?

Just checked them on iGo > About > Maps. WELL DONE!

Guys... the build number is the date the map was released. For the Greek (excellent maps) maps from NaviGreece, it's version 2007.07 dated 9 October 2007 (hence 071009). What more can you ask? I AM HAPPY!

try the attached file, repleace the one in your igo directory

i assume you have the 18/6/07 version of igo, if not , you can search for it in this forum, backup your igo database, delete the installation files of your current igo in both my documents and program files directory, as well as the directory on your storage card, and reinstall with the 18/6/07 version

Hi to all i just returned from a trip in serbia and for the first time i used miomap v3.2 and i was (and still am) very pleased from the functionality of the program. Hearing that IGO is even better than miomap i would like to use it. Unfortunatelly the links in the first page are all dead.

6 months ago iGO did'nt support Serbia. There were only major roads charted.
Try TomTom instead. It works very well in Serbia (map of eastern EU v 6.02). Only, I doubt there is TomTom for PPC. Only for Symbian, but you'll have to check it.

inside the same country navigation works.when i want to plan a route from greece to bulgaria with border crossing i have the message.inside bulgaria serbia romania it ok.border crossing in program enabled

I'm using it in a QTek G100 with no speed issues. I think G100 and S200 are the basically the same altogh G100 has GPS unit built-instead of a telephone.

I really like the iGo user interface but I have tried the latest versions of iGo 2006, Destinator 7 and TomTom 6 and definately I will end up with TomTom, though I think they could improve their products if the look at some of the well tought features of iGo and Destinator.

In fact I have all them installed in my G100 along with GPS Tuner, Compe GPSLand and Ozi Explorer ... and everything run smoothly.

I have dowloaded the french map, and when i start igo 2006 Plus, the soft say that this card is to old (RIP)... I use for the moment this one : France_2007.07_070730.

I have dowloaded the french map, and when i start igo 2006 Plus, the soft say that this card is to old (RIP)... I use for the moment this one : France_2007.07_070730.

Anyone have test one of the cards of MrMot ?


The maps are for the new iGO 8, hence the number 8 at the end of the filename.

hi guys!i'm having problems installing igo my way2006 plus on my asus a696 it says:"In c:\gps_2006r3_igo_se\firefly\base\core\ffsurface.c pp:299 Exception in EndPaint exiting application" what can i do?i 've tried to delete igo2006first,copied the new files on my card and install the program from there,and when it starts up it shows me this error.what can i do? And another thing,how can i set up the program to take in consideration the one way roads?thanks a lot!!!!

Freco, the map in question in the first post has a link that's no longer valid... Besides, it's an older map--is there a reason to use it? (2006.10 v4 - 2007.03.20)

thanx for the answer,but the thing is how does it compare to Destinator,which has very good coverage of the Greek country
The prog itself is very good indeed, but in Greece the coverage is still not very good compared to Destinator or Papago. I suggest to use them all and decide which one you should use more frequently. Keep igo especially if you travel abroad.

I am a user from Greece. I have a problem. When i shall go to select the map 2007.07 NaviGreece[071009] i take a message like that :

"Failed to open file:
gfx\NaviGreece.bmp
exiting application."

Any ideas?

Now i have 2 maps : Basemap 2006.01 NIMA VMAP0[060811],
Ellada 2007.02 2007 Galileo, TeleAtlas N.V.[070731].

Ifigenia, this is not such a big problem--the bitmap file NaviGreece.bmp is missing from the packaged graphics in the .zip file in iGo directory (I think it's called application.zip). Don't worry about it, it happens only when you click on the About This Map somewhere in the menus.

I experienced today my first error with IGO. I changed my old Greece map with the new one. When I try to generate a route between some other country an Greece, I get the following message: "Cannot find path, maps are isolated"
Any idea why I get this message and how can I fix this problem? With the older map, everything goes smooth.

the new map from creative image does not support the other maps of tele atlas.
try to reinstall the older map again and remove the new one

Done that, thx. As I was saying, with the old map it's working fine, I was hoping for some solution to make this new one work as well.
It's a little bit silly to take the trip using the old map, then change with the new one when entering Greece. But, that's life, you can't have the whole package :handball:

I just installed the iGO 2006 with Great Britain, Turkey and United Arab Emirates maps into my HW6515c.

Every things work fine except the last two maps are locked. When I used MioMapDecode to unlock both of them are become "RIP" sign and same as unlock (not shown).

Somebody, please help send me file or link of unlock Turkey and UAE or Midle East Maps.

The best I could do was 480_272. I have all the UI in the data.zip but when I have 800_480 it cuts it off in half

I buy from German one rx5720 travel companion. All it's ok. It's a very good PPC. I have only one problem. Because the machine is from German they have German WM5. Can i change the OS from German to English. If the answer is yes does anybody khows where i can found the english rom?

you do not have good signal from the satellite.
make sure you are at "open" sky and wait a bit till the gps gets the proper information

Try this one. Works fine for me with the latest version (18/6/2007). Just replace the igo.exe in the proper folder.

I was looking for South Africa updated map and found it on the mio website, free of charge for download
Check http://service.mio-tech.com/M0100/F0120_1.aspx for november maps. I used map from c320 and it worked beautifully. There is some other maps as well, like eeu, turkey and russia.

i tried the search with no luck so i will ask here.

I have used it for a while and it looks good. However there is one a very anoying thing. Once I decide to take different route it wil try to direct me back to the old one for another 6 km. Never had this problem with tomtom. Also what is interesting I have u turn disabled b ut it still tries to get me back.

Copy the contents of archive to SD.
Soft reset and installation should begin automatically.
Follow the steps.
Done.
You may run application through start -> programs -> iGO.

I put Igo.exe in the PDA under Program files and ran it but it still say Demo Beta.
There is no place on SD card to put it.

Those maps, lang and voice are coded, you need to decode them. Otherwise those maps, lang and voice are locked.
the decoder maps, lang and voice whit mapdecode:
the C version in binary.

the igo exe installed in main memory. did you use the new sdhc card?

Why would you want both versions?
I am using Igo on SD card, not in main memory.

still no luck :(
I tried both your suggestions mperpis & bcostea. The igo2006 is preinstalled in a 2gb SD card (I have no idea if it's sdhc or not) and the igo.exe its installed in main memory. If I manage igo to run with the other maps(by changing igo.exe and licence.db), the games that were pre-installed run in demo mode because they don't recognise the sd card.If I'll change back the igo.exe, the games run in full mode but i can't launch iGO because it gives me the "hardwareiderror''!

i badly need india map... anyone has one... please post

licence.db goes in the igo folder on the SD card.
Why would you want both versions?
I am using Igo on SD card, not in main memory.

I needed the cracked license and the cracked igo.exe (i have the real one) so as to have worldwide maps (i bought Greece) and i found it.

You MUST have the programm. These are only the maps. If you have the programm running in your machine with any map, then it can run with these too. Now, if you have the programm, it runs only with 2 maps.1. Basmap and 2. the map of the country you want. The two maps mast be side by side, in the same destination. So if you want to copy a new map, you mast first delete the map you don't want(but its runnig), you leave basemap in position and you copy the new map in the place of the old.
If your card has a lot of memory, you can make diferent file folders with names like:IGO_Spain, IGO_france etc. You copy in eyery folder everything it is in the main IGO folder and the basmap, but you put different map in eyery folder(france map in IGO_france, spain map in IGO_Spain and so on).Then you can run any version you want, by cliking: Windows explore>sd card> IGO_whatevername>IGO._exe.

I was WRONG. As my friend garet explained you can have ALL igo maps in map foldrer. I tried it and it works as he said. Sorry I had wrong informations and I was giving wrong instructions. The only truth in my previus post is that you MUST HAVE THE PROGRAMM.

Thanks, BUT iPAQ6x15 has a so called "resolution" of 240x240. Program is running - but only part of the display is shown on square screen. According to Nav N Go those devices should be supported in next revision (summer??:suicide:).
I have tried with Nyditot 5.02 either I do not know how to configure it :ashamed:- or it is of no use.
Can someone help with "resolution"

Those maps, lang and voice are coded, you need to decode them. Otherwise those maps, lang and voice are locked.
the decoder maps, lang and voice whit mapdecode:
the C version in binary.

Syntax:

MioMapDecode filename output_directory

or you can run in script mode in a command prompt like

for %i in (d:\miomap\update\*); do MioMapDecode.exe %i d:\miomap\decoded

Of course, you need to have original maps, lang and voice in d:\miomap\update, and have a d:\miomap\decoded created first.

Exactly in the same menu you'll see two buttons on your right of your screen.First one shows up and second shows down. Press the second button to scroll down your sreen and you'll see there are more options,where you can check if you will be warned for cameras or not.
