Featuring four 16-bit two-channel DACs and a stereo 16-bit ADC, the ALC850 is an AC'97 Rev 2.3 compatible multi-channel audio CODEC designed for PC multimedia systems. The ALC850 incorporates proprietary converter technology and fully meets performance requirements for PC99/2001 systems.
Four pairs of stereo outputs, with 5-bit volume control and multiple stereo and mono inputs, along with flexible mixing, and gain and mute functions, provide a complete integrated audio solution for PCs. The digital interface circuitry of the ALC850 operates from a low-power consumption 3.3V power supply. Two integrated 50mW/20ohm headphone audio amplifiers provide high-quality personal audio listening. Utilizing Universal Audio Jack® technology, Line-In and Mic-In can also serve as Headphone-Out with an amplifier advantage.

The ALC850 integrates an on-board dual PLL clock generator (14.318MHz and 24.576MHz), saving the cost of a 24.576MHz crystal. A PCBEEP generator is built-in and can be programmed by the BIOS to generate POST beeps without a buzzer. S/PDIF input and output functions are also supported, offering easy connection of PCs to consumer electronic products such as AC3 decoders/speakers, and mini disk devices.

The ALC850 supports host/soft audio from Intel ICHx chipsets, as well as audio controller-based VIA/SiS/ALi/AMD/nVIDIA/ATI chipsets. Bundled Windows series (98/ME/NT/2000/XP) and Linux drivers, EAX/Direct Sound 3D/I3DL2/A3D compatible sound effect utilities (supporting Karaoke, 26 types of environment sound emulation, 10-band equalizer), HRTF 3D positional audio, and Sensaura™ 3D (optional), providing an excellent entertainment package and game experience for PC users. In addition, the ALC850 is embedded with an impedance sensing capability to detect when a device has been connected to input or output jacks.

Everything works without bugs the bloat I removed doesn't affect the Networking and Network Diagnostics,
nor does it affect the sidebar, Internet Explorer. It runs real fast on only 256 megs of ram.
It's running 28 processes and uses 2 gigs of HD space and 240 megs of Physical memory at idle.

I only make this because alot of people in third world countries and for other reasons, only have a cd burner,
like teenagers and students.

Since i made it using the MSDN binaries, it asks for serial.
The reason i didn't make it with the business standalone is it doesn't ask for a key but
only gives you 3 days to activate, this way you have 30 days to get your KMS server working.

Yep sure mate, i done it using the following 2 links. I book marked them as they are the best and simplest tutorials for this. Also use Acronis to partition, it's very easy software. I done a 30GB partition and called it V: for Vista, now when i boot just choose "Earlier version of Windows" which is XP or "Windows Vista"

Just back up all your XP stuff in case, but i doubt anything will go wrong.

When I press Activate in the Activation Window it takes me to the window which has the Online Activation, Activate by phone and other sorts of stuff... How to bypass this? Can't we just type in the serial and get it activated? I see in some of the screen shots which shows that Windows is Activated but how can I validate myself in an online activation or activation by phone...? Plz help me here...

t works on vista RTM x86 and x64.
How to use it:1- Apply one of the "2099 trick" (eg: set install date to: 2099 and set date back after install...)
2- Unpack the ZIP in a temp directory
3- Launch install.exe It will prompt to launch as admin, since it is necessary to install the driver.
4- Press the "Test" button, don't close the messagebox shown.
5- Launch a command prompt with admin rigths.
6- Type "slmgr.vbs -dlv", a dialog box should popup in 10-20s.
7- Note the number of minutes displayed on the last line, and close the dialog box
8- Wait a few minutes, and type "slmgr.vbs -dlv" again
9- If it works, the number of minutes should be the same. You can then close the messagebox shown in 3, and press the "install" button to run the driver at each start.

this is a bin image file for burning to a CD. You can burn it with nero or you can load the image to a virtual cdrom with alcohol or daemon tools and start the installation.

Bro You are not getting my point customize tab only appears on Self created folders the folders which windows have in by default cant be changed this way koz the Icons are in .PNG format which doesnt support either even i can not change the self created folder by me koz it asks for .ICO file where as all your given package of icons hold .PNG image files which can not be change at all...
May be you should chk it urself Bro i really would like to apply those set of icons but they can not be applied the way u suggest if anybody else has applied them plss let me know how u guys did it awaiting response

Follow this:

1. Extract the .rar file.

2. Right click on vistacrack.exe and select properties.

3. Goto Compatibility tab and check "Run this program as an administrator"

4. Close properties tab and run the crack file, hit crack as shown.

5. Computer will start the crack, and reboot.

6. When vista loads, it will show a warning on the systray, right click on it, and allow

the program to be started, and then hit allow when the warning pops up again.

7. The crack will then open up and finish the process. Hit finish to close the program.

8. Crack is now complete!!

To double check to make sure it worked, reboot your computer and goto:

1. Start > Run > slmgr.vbs -dlv

2. Wait a sec for the box to pop up

3. Look at the bottom line, if it says the time remaining is 43200 your set!

When you have Booted into Vista for the Very 1st time Open up the (User Accounts)
Where it says "Make changes to your account"
Goto the Bottom where it says "Turn User Account Control on or off".
In the window that you now see "Untick" the Box, There's only 1 Box

Restart Computer.


1.) Right Click on the (Command Prompt) and Choose to "Run As Administrator"
Now Copy and Paste Exactly as shown in the following Location to the Command Prompt Window.

Look for and Stop "Software Licensing"


2.) Now you need to Take Ownership of the following Files by Following this Process

ISO files is a files that created from burning tools/ to open this files, u can using daemon tools to mount it. or another way u acn burn it to a blank cd. choose burn image from nero. than choose ur ISO files. now, ur files ready to use.

Medal Of Honor Pacific Assault, Call Of Duty (and expansion
pack United Offensive), Need For Speed Underground, Need For
Speed Black Edition, Need For Speed Carbon... all these games
work on Server 2003 (they also run a lot better than on XP too)
and therefore it is safe to assume that 99.99% of games work on
Server 2003. If you have an MSI based installer that tells you
it won't install on Server 2003, you can use the included fix
that is in the Desktop folder "eXPerience". This allows programs
like Kaspersky Antivirus and Kaspersky Internet Suite, and games
like Doom III, to be installed, once installed these run fine,
actually more than fine... they run like lightening compared
to XP.

Remember, this special edition has all the tweaks you need
automatically applied on installation for running this Operating
System as a home user would.

If you have never installed the normal version of Server 2003,
you cannot appreciate how much simpler this special eXPerience
edition makes things! You would have a hard time if you just

I have an original norton 2006(which is about to expire in april i think) i installed it on vista(way back then around august '06 maybe) even with its known compatibilty issues... And as the warning message says that the program wont work.. it didn't work! Now that i have 2007(upgrade offer from symantec) i cnt uninstall norton 2006! I've uninstalled it with Ur uninstaller but still whenever i run the 07 installer it simply gives me the option to remove all. Then when i click it it unpacks something then i leave for a few hours the next thing i know is that it consumed 28 GB yes GB of data.. any suggestions???

I used these links and extracted the ISO, loaded it up using Nero Image Drive. I tried to install using Nero Image drive and I got an error in the middle of the installation. This is for those who think vista's sounds are just too quiet. Some are not even used by default in vista, SO this will help you know how to make extra sounds be used for certain things, and give you much louder sounds. I actually myself thought they were to quiet!

SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS:

IMPORTANT: DO STEPS 1-3!!!

NOTE: This is assuming that Windows Vista is installed on drive C:
1. Open C:/Windows/Media folder
2. Select all the files (Ctrl + A) and copy all the contents of this folder
3. Make a New Folder somewhere safe, and PASTE all the copied files there...THIS IS FOR BACKUP!
4. Go back to C:/Windows/Media folder
5. Open THIS download's "Media" folder and copy all of its content
6. PASTE all the copied items into the C:/Windows/Media folder
7. You might want to check the bottom option "Do this for the next 42 conflicts"
8. Enjoy.

Do this:
1. Press Windows logo + R
2. Open: SndVol.exe
3. On the "Windows Sounds" column, adjust the desired volume.

Tip:

i hope you wont mind my asking here as well, but it was mentioned here that there are certain Vista versions that will only work on a 32-bit PC and others that will work on a 64-bit PC. how can i tell whether my PC is 32-bit or 64-bit? its running on a dual core cpu (AMD) built this past year, and from the specs that i checked on the MS website it meets all the requirements needed to run Vista Ultimate. can you or anyone clear this up for me? :?: thanks!
