Here is little python app that can install animated operator logo.
Tested on E70 and 3250 and N93.
If you have find some bugs say :) i'l try fix :))
Logos at c:\system\apps\AniSimb\Logo
Instalation notes
1) You must install Python Pack ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) INTO PHONE MEMORY
2) When install app select ONLY YOUR MODEL OF PHONE!
P.S Working only with English lang of phone :((( want other :) modify source code and enter name of your Standby mode app name (get using BestTaskMan)

wow mate....it seems to be very great....i've just a problem with my n80!! i've installed it....when i open AniSimb, it allow me to select my logo, but nothing happen...!! could u help me??

ok now it works....but i've to let anisimb in background....is it normal???

and also....life logo is on normal logo(operator name, as vodafone), i thought it would be replaced... is it normal??? how can i hide normal logo??

no sorry...i've no undestand....what means "add u'Phone', and replace phone", in the line i've quoted there is already u'Phone'....:???: :???:

for original logo...i think the only solution is use nologo app....but it doesn't work on all phones...:| :|

:( every time i add something in that string, when i try to open it, after installation, it gives me a system error... :(

are u sure i've to add just that word??? "Standby mode" = "Modalità standby" in italian...could u try to create it?? :|

hi, i´ve have changed this line

to "Pohotov. režim" (im from slowakia) it means Stanby Mode

installed the app. as is starting the app. it turns off after cca. 10 seconds :(
and as it activate the Life...nothing changes....restart doesn´t help

You have to run the app in the background, so the change is not permanent.

IT works fine on N73!!

But Why when I install both files on N73 it automatically installs on Phonememory and doesn't ask me if I want to install it on memory card???

Great app, if i understand well, you just paint the logo onscreen. It's not changing the oplogo but another layer on it.

Edit: Ahh. I had to make another subfolder with icons.

i did it, and i created a sisx file, but when i installed the application and wanted to access it, it just exit after a while, i'm i doing somthing wrong? certification problem perhaps?

ps: i run it with english language...but no success indeed...

we need a tutorial for this :d

mate i successed on my N80ie, i dicovered one easy way :

1) install python pack + anisimb + fgimage normally...

2) Animations are stored in \system\apps\AniSimb\logo\anim_folder, where
“anim_folder” stands for the name you want for the animated logo.
Create 194×50 pixels images with your animation (for N80), save every frame as PNG
with sequential numbers (000.png, 001.png,…).

3) Every frame needs a “mask” with black (for transparent area) and white
(for visible area) colors, save it as PNG and sequentially
(_000.png,_001.png,…).

and then replace the original ones with yours in \system\apps\AniSimb\logo\anim_folder(life)

and that's it ;)

you don`t need to replace them,just make another folder for example cartman and paste all files there. leave the life logo if you want.

Yes..... changed the language from Português(br) to English... and now.... I can see "Life :)" logo with my operator name. lol

....I'm newbie in this (u all can see it)

How I remove the operator name? If don't...
I will create one logo with same background color

Hi,

I installed the following files on my 3250 with 3.24 firmware :

1)AniSimb
2)appswitch103_signed
3)fgimage11
4)iapconnect_signed
5)keypress102_signed
6)PythonForS60_1_3_17_3rdEd_selfsigned
7)PythonScriptShell_1_3_17_3rdEd_selfsigned

But when I try to open the application, It closes without showing any error message.

All the files are signed by me.

Please help me with this.

did you set your phone's language to English and does your phone have the resolution as the logo has? and if "life" works then it should work too ;)

Yes my phone language is in English. Umm how do i check the resolution.. Any ideas whats the resolution for the n80. Life works perfectly.

N80's resolution is 352x416, so the logo should be 194x50 :)

here's an animated logo for N91 and 3250 users, meaning 97x25 resolution. hope you like it. it's from haha_n6600's 3cow logo :)

I have an E61, I can get Life :) working and understand that other logos posted are in the wrong format, I have 2 questions firstly can the position be change as Life covers various connection info Icons above the active standbye and secondly does anyone one know what size the logos have to be for an E61.

I have the same problem like vickysharma .
The app closes throwing an exception : KERN-EXEC 3 .

I have tried to use the same python pack posted by nexass ,
but still got the same problem .

You realise is a quick fix for NO LOGO issue... just make a new folder(near the flame one) and place 1 frame and its mask (100% black mask ) and voila ..no logo.

ps

n93 will place the animation from vertical screen into horizontal as well.... but at the same size :(.... it depends whether you started the AniSymbian in landscape or vertical screen.)

hello disabled!

problem - i have tried everywhich way to edit the software in order to change language localisation for the software. looked at your default file, got some help from others, got pm from nexass as to exact edited line. and nothing.
the app installs fine but just refuses to run. your compiled version runs for english just fine, so does unedited recompiled source. but as soon as i change one letter in default.py it just wont open, or it starts opening and just closes half a sec later.

now, tried also without success to run the nexuss's version for italian (not the language i need but just to troblesshoot). and again the unedited version will install fine and run without a glitch.

im lost, could it be something with the certificate, difference in size of the file, some interaction because of my firmware n73 flashed to "me" version 3.0638.0.0.30

the keywords i could use are "Pasivní režim" or "Stanje čekanja"

question - are you planning to develop the app more to include diff languages or at least wil there be more development as far as bugfixing.

any help would be appreciated

Hey even i have the n80ie. How did you get the wlan scanning option on the main screen??

Install this version of Nokia_N80_Internet_Edition_WlanWizard.sisx below and it should appears on the main screen by default.

If it doesnt, then it down to the software version on your phone, mine is -

Because of the high demand (asked by PM), here is the "upgraded" Version for GERMAN and ENGLISH based Mobiles with 240x320 pixel displays (N73, N71, N95). More logos included and all the necessary extensions already preinstalled, so you only need to install the python S603rd framework. No hassle with fgimage or appswitch or whatsoever (before installing, please delete fgimage and appswitch).

Just install my upgraded version and the python framework. Select your logo and thats it.

I will try and make a "all inclusive" version for all series 603rd mobiles based on the languages posted here (german, english, italian, greek, etc.). So you only have to install one version for all mobiles.

I wrote a little tutorial on serbian ...but hire it is translated for you and anyone else who find's it usseful...

Animated Op-Logo for Symbian O.S 9.1

Change your operator logo with blank logo ( you can use No Logo ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) ) so when you put your new animated logo the old one doesnt get in the way ( stays in the background )

Install on phone memory or mmc phyton shell,phyton and appswitch ( everything is selfsigned)
Then on phone memory install AnisSimb and fgimage

Run Application

[Only registered and activated users can see links] ([Only registered and activated users can see links])

You will see Life logo.Activate it

[Only registered and activated users can see links] ([Only registered and activated users can see links])

Important : Dont exit the app. on exit button or red headphone ( because it will reporte an error ) so exit on meny key then press Standby

Your should see now your new logo

To add more logos (using one of many file browsers) go to c:\system\apps\AniSimb\logo\

ForN73 the resolution is 135x34 forN80 194x50 ,
Chose or create an animation,then make
frames save every frame as PNG

Everyframe needs a "mask" with black (for transparent area) and white
(for visible area) colors, save it as PNG and sequentially _000.png,_001.png,_002.png...

"anim_folder" stands for the name you want for the animated logo.

For this to work, the black tyres will have to be chged to a different color as the background for these logos have to be black, amongst other chges.

It can be done but too time consuming, as it has 25 frames and all will have to be chged.

So to get you started, i have extracted the frames for you!

I have got anisimb working. Nice app.
But I noticed 2 things:
1. It would not auto-start. Or do I have to sign the files?
2. Once the phone is autolock, the animated logo returns to the original op logo.

Are you guys having the same thing? Or have I done something wrong?

I have tried most logos posted by members. But none of them work for me except the LIFE logo posted by disabled in the 1st post due to improper screen resolution. Can some one plz change the resolution of logos i have attached below to make them compatible with E50 phone becoz i dont know whts the resolution of E50 and dont know much about how to change the resolution.

Yes, It is working for me . After certification and installation of the complete Python pack make sure that you use only logos with 97x25 resolution.

Hello guys

i am desparate to use Anisimb on my N73.

I'v installed
- PythonForS60_1.3.17selfsigned
- PythonScriptShell_1.3.17selfsigned
- appswitch_selfsigned
- Anisimb
- fgimage11
My phone language is English.

When i try to open/start Anisimb it just closes without any error msg.
How do i get to start the app.

Secondly how do we sign the files? Can anyone post detailed tutorial about selfsigning the files.

Guys Guys Anisimb doesn't work with the latest version of Python I mean it doesn't work with python version 1.3.18

It only works with 1.3.17 so check if this helps. Goodluck!

This will be very simple if you have Adobe photoshop tool. Go to photoshop, in the layer click inverse select and fill background color with black. Then cut the selection and paste it in new file. I dont hav time i will give u the screenshots later....

KErrPermissionDenied"You have to copy "your" default.py into the proper path (c:\private\A0000000\) on your phone. Do not execute the pythonscript directly. Just use a file manager on your symbian phone.

You have to copy "your" default.py into the proper path (c:\private\A0000000\) on your phone. Do not execute the pythonscript directly. Just use a file manager on your symbian phone.

@Disabled...I got the "Update Error" too! what should I do ? I've a 3250, I've signed all pythons and then install them on phone memory, then install "fgimage11.sisx" and when I've tried to install "anisimb.sisx" it shows an "Update Error!"
