Why would you wanna use this with Pocket Plus? This software combines all the key features of Pocket Plus in itself. Along with a very extended 3D interface.

Installing more shell apps will just consume your resources.

The best combo to be used with SPB Shell is Spb Diary + Finances

BTW, i have a Palm Treo 750v, with a built-in messaging app (not the windows Inbox). the shortcuts for Text Messages and MMS won't work. any tweak i can do so the built-in messaging app will be launched instead of the normal Inbox?

With Spb Weather 1.7 you can get all advanced features of Spb Weather integrated into Spb Mobile Shell.
How to replace the Weather Tab with Spb Weather
Follow the steps below to use Spb Weather with Spb Mobile Shell:
1. Make sure that Spb Weather is not inside Spb Pocket Plus. If so, delete the corresponding tab of Spb Pocket Plus.
2. If you have a city selected in the Weather Tab, remove it using a context menu.
2. Go to Spb Mobile Shell options and replace Weather Tab with Spb Weather.

Any thoughts ?

It's not an oversight dawg, it's meant to be used with a bonafide app launcher like PocketPlus or iLauncher. Mobile Shell's "launcher" isn't really a launcher per-se: it's more like Windows XP's recently used app list (and just like XP's app list you can choose to "pin" specific apps by tap-and-hold). You're only limited to a couple of lines- hardly enough for a serious launcher. The app is best used in conjunction with PocketPlus and SPB Diary (or iLauncher and PocketBreeze) for the full experience...unless you prefer not to use an external launcher at all- in that case you can simply download MagicButton for the true-close functionality. SPB Weather isn't necessary any longer (at least for me) now that I have this app. And the interface is completely 2D. Excellent app... I seriously can't really find a single flaw with it.

Would be nice if they had a return to tab after a timeout...

Meaning that you can go to different tabs and if lets say 30 seconds passes it would go to the default tab (which in my case i would prefer agenda)

Cool piece of software... i little too expensive... i think it should cost 20$ max.

I was thinkin the same thing. But maybe its jus my battery. Im gonna try it using my other battery and see how fast it drains my phone.

Cuz right now im barely getting one day of use with my phone rite now w/ my current battery.

Yes I agree with Freeyayo. It drains battery pretty fast. From 100% down to 40% in just 10 hours( without even using the phone).I don't have any other running apps. What a pity. I like this proggie but because of this battery drain problem, I may have to uninstall it.

This app is great!!! but i noticed that MY PPC freezes after trying to access the phone when it is "sleeping" i keep having to do a soft reset. This only happens when the now screen is enabled to show up when u "wake up" from sleep. Every one in a while it will freeze, since i took off the now screen it doesn't freeze anymore. Could this be because i have both SPB Pocket Plus and Moblie Shell?

sandeep69
19th February 2007, 11:54
Yup me too; had to reset once or twice a day so ended up removing this app. Also, too much of a memory hog, about 4/5 MB of ram gone. :-(

But loved the app whilst it was installed on the Universal. Sad I had to let it go.

Oh well.

Cheers, Vikas.

No doubt, it's amazing, simple and clean. I have tried it on my Dopod 818pro and how I wish I could continue using it. Not the application that giving problem but the speed of my Dopod is. What can we expect nowadays from a 195MHz PDA? I think it's time to change my PDA so that I could enjoy the applications posted here...
