That doesnt work dude, I copied and pasted as instructed to e:/resource/fonts and rebooted twice even, still to no avail. I have version 4.02 on my N80, does that have anything to do with it? Pls revert Thanks!

yup. you have to flash the firmware and upgrade it to

v 4.0632.0.38

When i had the version that you have at present then the fonts didnt work. So once you flash it to this version your font problem will be solved. :)

Sorry bro, I just went down to nokia and upgraded me software to the above version and still to no avail. : ( Something is wrong somewhere.. help needed! Pls revert. Thanks!

Hmmm.. ok do the following

1. Install the file rockwell.sis
2. after install restart the phone.
3. Your fonts should change and look like the image that i have attached in the rockwell.rar file
4. Once thats done put your phone off again and remove the memory card and using the memory card reader browse to e:\resources\fonts
5. You will find 4-5 files in the fonts folder.
6. delete all of them.
7. Now paste the three files (i.e. aSans.TTF, aSansSB.TTF, aSansTSB.TTF) that I had sent earlier of lucida_black, into e:\resources\fonts. Im attaching it just incase you lost it or something :)
8. Put the memory card back into the phone and now start your phone.

If everything has been done properly you should have the new fonts installed and working.
Try it out and let me know. :)

Hmmm.. ok do the following

Just delete the folder fonts in e:\resources\fonts

rockwell will then be gone.

You have to replace the fonts in the fonts folder in resources with the ones that I have uploaded (lucida_black for the n80) and then restart your phone. Your fonts will change on the n80. Also you have to have the altest firmware version on the n80. i.e. v4.0632.0.38 then only it'll work. :)

Guys Update the firmware please alot of people didn't work because there firmware is old starts with 2.xxx I have N73 version ME that starts with 3.xx and its working fine...

Did you format your card with the phone before use?

Not sure if the file system is right otherwise, noticed mine before firmware upgrade wasnt the same as after, the phone made extra files, plus before mine never had a app folder, was called data before.
Just a thought!!

i placed the fonts in e:resource/fonts..then what happened was when i checked the gallery all the letters are there but my fonts did not change :( (n80)

Check your original fonts using y browser on
z\system\fonts
write down al the fonts names.
make 4 copy of the desire fonts, ex : arial 1.ttf, arial 4.ttf, arial 3.ttf, arial 2.ttf

dupont IF you had time reading previous posts on this thread you would know how to remove the fonts! So read!

If you have installed the fonts on your phone memory the only way to remove them is to format your phone! GOODLUCK!

Check your original fonts using y browser on
z\system\fonts
write down al the fonts names.
make 4 copy of the desire fonts, ex : arial 1.ttf, arial 4.ttf, arial 3.ttf, arial 2.ttf
change your desire fonts such as : arial 1-4.ttf into orginal font names

Has anyone changed the Font of the Active Standby (undischarged Task etc.) in Bold, such as in Software-Version 2.0638.xxx (Nokia N73) ?
In SW-Version 3.0649.xxx it´s SemiBold.

I installed the original fonts from the older SW-Version, but nothing happens :o(

Not been able to get fonts to work on my nokia n80 untill this morning swiched on phone normal fonts mid morning used the phone and the fonts had changed rebooted the phone I'm back to the original font so I now the fonts work on my phone but how do i get them to work all the time many thanks

Hello, everybody!

Let`s try all together to solve a problem with creating of sis-pack of font Synergy Full BC Bold for Nokia E61 (as U know with not standard screen 320x240). I`ve used only files NSSB60.ttf and NSTSB60.ttf from that font and here is the result (sorry for Russian letters :) - but it doesn`t really matter - font looks lovely any way:heart: )

I`ve put that two files in E/Resoure/fonts (as usual) by myself via cardreader. Everything is ok, but well known problem - "mass storage" mode doesn’t work :cry:

So, it`s necessary to create sis-pack in order to put that two files is C/Resoure/fonts! I know it`s possible, it`s really works in another models (E50 for example). Some smarty men have tried to do this, but during installation of this sis-pack my E61 writes a mistake (something like: Installation is not possible. Those components are already exist!). Installation was possible after rename of the files to S60SSB.ttf and S60TSB.ttf. I`ve installed it to Memory card (for test), but result was not correct - font was corrupted:cry:

So, conclusion is - for correct displaying of this font is necessary to put in E(C)/Resoure/fonts exactly NSSB60.ttf and NSTSB60.ttf

Please, Subj Guru, how to do THIS???

It works..
You just have to make sure you rename the fonts that you are installing to the 2 files you see here with extensions .ccc and 1 file with extension .ttf

I compile this myself, have a look.
It worked on my E61, looks beautiful when you write or read messages.
Mobireader is also better to be seen with this fonts.
I think, this is the perfect FONTS ever.

use x-plore (or any other explorer wich can see hidden files and z: drive)
go to z:\resource\fonts and write down the names of those 4 files

get your new *.ttf font, copy it four times and rename it to be called like those 4 files from z drive on your phone (4 times the same (your) font with diffrent names each) and then copy all of them (four new files) (using USB cable->mass storage or card reader) into e:\resource\fonts\ (if the directory does not exist, make it)

that`s all
