How do you get downloaded PS2 games to work on your PS2?
I have heard from quite a few people that you dont need to mod/chip your PS2 to make it work, apparently you can burn some kind of .ISO to DVD load it on your PS2 then eject and load the downloaded game??
Anyone know what i mean?
And can anyone help??

Okay... To answer your question first we need to know how the PS2 knows which are legit. On Original games there are parts of the DVD which are "pressed". These parts cannot be copied by ordinary burners.
Now to bypass this check you either need to mod your PS2 or use a boot disk like swap magic. BUT your swap magic must be original as well to have the pressed parts otherwise it will not be read by your PS2.

Please also note that to get the Swap Magic to work on the old PS2's you will need a Slide Tool which is only available when you purchase Swap Magic! I am not sure how it works with the new Slimline PS2's as I only have the old one.

Hello everyone.
I've just got swapmagic3 from a torrent and I don't know how to make a DVD/CD with this, in order to play copied games with my PS2 console.
Does anyone have any idea?
Thanks in advance.

Doesn't your PS2 have to be chipped in order to play copied games, or is this a better/safer method lol

Firstly, you do not need to chip your PS2 to play copied games, in fact Sony have been fighting the art of chipping since the inception of the PS2 all those years ago! SwapMagic is the best way to go (I use it to play imported games)
Unfortunately, you cannot download to run SwapMagic on the PS2 as it needs the PlayStation Startup file on the disk (this is a file on the disk that shows the PS Logo when you put a game disk in the drive). I have tried this before without success, so if anyone else has managed it, please let me know.
I bought SwapMagic because I have the old 'brick' style PS2 and needed the special tool to open the tray and insert the imported (or copied) disk.
Hope this information helps!!
