i think if you want mail to be "pushed" most likely will have to use GPRS only.. that's the only confirm active connection... just my two cents.. :)

But when i have gprs always on to use this soft why the hell do i need this software anyway? In this case i check the mails with the built in e-mail client every 10 minutes and have the same result. Or am i missing something?

maybe this one is more 'office look' so it's more intuitive and professional?

It's like bb - It has PC connecter software that links to your desktop email app rather than pulling email from your server. Still nowhere near as good as Morange but it'll be good to get around the security issues with gettng my office email... And it's not java which is nice!

Hello all,

Oren here. Online marketing manager for emoze.com

I'd like to answer a few of your questions.

1st of all, emoze does support wi-fi. Why pay for GPRS data transfers when you can get your emails free?

2nd: Your Push sync could be set to always on or at intervals of 10 minutes and higher.

3rd: We are symbian signed, we support Symbian 9.1 devices.

4th: We just got back from 3GSM Barcelona where we had a showdown with blackberry in order to see who could send emails quicker and more secure, which we won by knockout!

5th: emoze also syncs your contacts, calendar & tasks to and from your PC!

Should you have any specific questions, don't hesitate to ask!

Well, nice to see you here Oren.

I have few questions to ask.

1) Why there is no proper, clear instructions to configure emoze client on your phone? Manual provided is not clear enough to me.

2) In mailbox settings you will have emoze account, how to configure that properly? There are plenty of settings like access point to use etc.

3) I am personally confused by the fact the emoze is using GPRS connection and WiFi "at the same time".

4) What applications I have keep open on my PC?

Here is few simple ones. :)

All the best,

Simcard

I'll answer these two questions at once, We are working on an updated user manual in order to help you configuer & use emoze.

3) I am personally confused by the fact the emoze is using GPRS connection and WiFi "at the same time".

emoze gives priority to GRPS, if GPRS isin't available and Wi-Fi is, emoze will automatically switch to it.

4) What applications I have keep open on my PC?

You need your PC client running on your PC

That was simple enough

i've been trying to sign up as new user but keep getting 'server temprorarily unavailable' for the past four hours, i will keep trying.

It would nice if this app can be used without any pc software, for those that don't have pc.
I use push mail through Mail For Exchange without the need for pc, but can log in to my email on pc to check my mails etc through Outlook Web Access.

Hi I have tried installing the Mobile Client of EMOZE. However after I login from my handset, it does not give me an option to chose SEND/RECEIVE.

I do not know how to update the mail box..!!!

It will update automatically if configured properly. Check your account settings. Within 1 min of first installing the app it had fully synced (over slooooooow EDGE too!).

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Software from my handset and tried configuring it once again. Still the same case.

Can you help me with the way you have configured? Might be that it would help..!!!

I think that the most important thing is probably that when you set up your PC connector software, you selected the proper folders in Outlook that you want to sync - and then make sure that you have the appropriate items on your mobile selected in Accounts, Mailbox - xxx, Folders to push.

Then just make sure that Outlook is running and that emoze PC Connector is connected to the server.

Here are a few more settings that you may want to check but I doubt they would be causing you problems:

Under settings, options, inbox I have

Get emails from...
Last 3 days

Inbox
Unread emails only

...

Keep last
100

Settings, Advanced, General

Merge policy
Don't merge

Just a suggestion, but could the app be made available in Zip form for those who cannot download .exe files due to firewalls?

Thank you.

Thanks for the info Echoz. However that is where I think I have a problem. Under Options>Accounts, it shows as No Data. I do not have an option to select any Mail Boxes etc.

If I have to make any changes it is only under Settings. I have tried to reinstall the software, still it is the same.

Any Ideas?

I think the best idea is to start from the beginning. Uninstall (phone and PC), powercycle, and then then start over by reinstalling the PC app. Create a new account in the PC app and make sure you use the same login when you install and set up the app on your phone.

Also make sure you download the version appropriate for your Outlook version and make sure that you have the recommended SPs installed.

I must say, I'm loving this app right now...

I really like this app, but what I don't understand is that synchronizing email via Outlook (2007) isn't push mail cause it does send/receive every 2/5/10 minutes and once you have new mail on your outlook inbox it's pushed to your mobile.. Right?

Yes emoze supports tasks/calendar. As for notes, this is supported on the Pocket PC.

What device are you useing?

Nokia E70 --- XP + Outlook 2003

I used previously Palm and I was used to use calendar/tasks/notes/contacts.
Category support and notes possibility for every event/tasks is still very missing for me.

Oren..emoze does not switch to Wi-Fi (WLAN). I have GPRS and WLAN access point created on Nokia E70. As i do not have GPRS activated, it should fail on GPRS AP and switch to Wi-Fi(WLAN) AP. But it does not happen.

I have downloaded and installed emoze on my work computer (Win2k, Outlook 2k, Exchange Server) and on my Nokia E60. The install went fine and I am getting my work email but there are a couple of funny things going on:

1. I cannot select the Auto Start option. I click on it to change the No to a Yes but I cannot change it.

2. I have selected to "Show the Icon" and the Icon appears on my active standby screen but if I reboot my phone I have to select this option again as it does not remember.

3. My email is delivered to my regular inbox (in an emoze subdirectory) where my SMS messages go instead of the emoze account created on my phone when I installed this application. Is this a bug? Is there (or will there be) a fix?

Great application even with these minor bugs. Thanks,

Mark
