yeah, you could use vista on macbook by using parallel but it slows down the system and some other conflicts such as partitionings...

If I were you, Ill wait for the OS X Leopard this coming spring. Im pretty sure vista will run better on it.

I run parallels with XP home on my MACBOOK and find it great.I think if you allocate enough memory to Parallels you should find the speed quite acceptable. It's great to have various systems on one machine when you are knocking around the planet. Remember you don't run windows operating systems on the Mac OSX, you run it on a suitable intel based Apple Mac MACHINE of which the MACBOOK is one of several. So Leopard cannot help you run VISTA or any other Windows operating system. You can run Vista with Mac BOOTCAMP but you have to start up on a separate disk partition wherehas you can switch with Parallels like any other App on your Mac.It's not cheap though Forty Quid for Parallels plus the cost of the Windows System ! which requires registration.

I am using Vista, both on Parallel and on Bootcamp. On Parallel, Vista is a bit constrained, with imperfect sound. Windows XP is better off on Parallel than Vista. On Bootcamp, Vista runs with its full bell and whistles.

Ya, i agree...It's either you get a MacBook Pro instead of a MacBook or you run Windows xp using Parallels Desktop instead of Vista. Windows Vista overall is just not a very good OS, u need a very powerful Mac to run some OS which is something like or much less better than a MacOS. Windows XP is more stable, and that will do very well, running on your Macbook and at the same time side by side with Mac OSX. Bootcamp wise, its even worse, one thing, you will slow down your Mac performance by using the Vista on either Bootcamp or Parallels.

On the other hand, a MacBook Pro has got the factor to get Vista going together with its Mac OSX without much effort bt that would still be a waste using Vista with it. So don't.
