hi guys

i use a usb adsl wan adapter to connect to the internet.i just got a router and am trying to set it up to connect to the internet but in vain.when i plug the adsl line it doesnt go online as it normally should do.thus i was wondering if there's a way to set up a lan network between my pc and the router,which will ultimately make the router share the usb internet connection?thus i'll be able to connect wirelessly to the net or use my router via other wifi-enabled devices.

check wether your adsl is a dynamic or static ip. some routers need to be configured manually for dynamic ip. or else you can create a lan connection between your pc and router by the cable provided. just plug the adsl cable to other lan slot on the router. do not specify the ip range, just say 'automatic' on the tcp/ip configuration of your device. hope this should do.
