View Full Version : Bypass a Wireless Router
cansat 24th February 2007, 19:40 Hi, i have a Dell Inspiron 1501, and i have a router at home. My home router is unblocked, but in a few weeks (march break) im going out of town to my grand-parents for about a week. They dont have any type of PC, but someone around has an WiFi internet conection. As well He has a password! So i was wondering if there is a way to get the password WITHOUT asking him? Like a software or something? Thanks
ANd what does WiFi stand for???

depuniet 25th February 2007, 03:41 Itīs more comfortable and easy to link to a open wifi due to a lot of users just dont encrypt it,and there also free hot wifi spots, take your laptop and go around the house searching.. you will find more open wifis than you expected.
If u dig in the net you will find a lot of info about it. Search for aircrack, airodump, there are also linux live-cd versions especifaclly created to audit wifi networks, like backtrack 2 etc.
Have fun!
Greetings!
cansat 25th February 2007, 17:54 So realy, if i was to go around and search i could find some other Wifi spots?
And if they all have passwords, aircrack could help me retrieve the password? And a keylogger will get the info they type and if they type the Password i could retrieve it right?
WiFi?????
depuniet 25th February 2007, 19:33 Aircrack pack includes airodump, that is able to capture encrypted data packets from encrypted wep hotspots, and when you have a lot of packets, aircrack will find the password from those captured packets. It doesnt have any relation with keyloggers. Also not all the wifi computers card can enter in mode "monitor" to use airodump.
check the aircrack documentation

harnanto 25th February 2007, 19:52 Get a live-cd like: Backtrack 2 (recommended) or Security Auditor then you should get a video how to crack WEP (or WPA) on Google or Youtube:

Off course you will need a compatible wireless adapter to work with those live-cd.
yudi_lk 23rd April 2007, 16:29 Why not try to use Remote Exploite....

there was no video can watch...all error...cant download...
have other video?
boknoy.ph 7th May 2007, 13:57 for cracking WEP, etc.... you need linux (sorry, winblows just does not do it) and your wifi card has to be supported (orinoco chipsets) as the intel centrino wont do it for you. also, you need at least TWO pc, or laptop to properly (and faster too) do it.
SockysLove 21st March 2008, 11:28 Sorry to drag these thread back up (i hope you all dont mind). My neighbour has wireless internet one UPSTAIRS and one DOWNSTAIRS, is there a way to bypass his password? (I am using a MacBook)
Im not too good at computers, so if its possible to do can someone explain how? Thanks ^__^
Myk! 23rd March 2008, 11:59 Simple . . . .
Visit his house then simply reset his router by clicking the small button at the back.
As of now, there are no confirmed story that it really works to hack a WEP protected wifi.
You can try this to check for yourself.
