What's good fam. Today's ducket: Grid Wars 2. It's a much, MUCH deeper and better version of Blizzard/Microsoft's Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved. The game was getting so much attention that M$ and Blizzard served the programmer with a "cease and desist" asking him to pull the game from his servers. Since then the game has been pretty hard to find.
Direct from Wikipedia:
"Although other freeware Geometry Wars clones exist, Grid Wars eventually became so popular that Bizarre emailed Incitti and asked him to take the game down, citing that they were "beginning to feel the effects of the Geometry Wars clones on our sales via Microsoft now and are beginning a process to begin to more robustly protect our copyright and intellectual property"
I tried it and I can see why Blizzard had it pulled. Nothing to install, just unpack and run. Works with any standard dual analog joypad or mouse and keyboard. My hi-score: 925,565. Any takers?
