1. Run windowblinds501_enhanced.exe

2. Complete the intallation until it reaches the point where it says "WindowBlinds needs a reboot". Now click "I'll Reboot Later" and close the Stardock Product Activation window by clicking the X in the upper right corner.

3. Navigate to the installation directory, e.g. \Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\WindowBlinds\ here you should rename WbSrv.dll to WbSrv.dll.lz0

4. Copy/overwrite all files from crack.zip to the installation directory.

5. Reboot your machine, this is important, do not run windowblinds before the reboot!

PS. You can now delete WbSrv.dll.lz0 if you want.

Nope not working here.

I must of tried this a dozen times and no luck..

After applying the patch, Blinds starts and says Active Version but whenever i try to apply a theme etc the Activation menu pops up again.

Have tried entering any random key & email, killing the activate.exe process again and a few other things that normally yields success with these types of cracks with no luck.

Do you have a valid Email & Serial?

I followed it to the letter.

Funnily enough, i found a different crack text using the same files but a totally different method then this one and it worked like a charm.

Can anyone tell me how to apply the Transparency Borders using Windows Blinds? And when I try to apply a theme the application hangs... Is this bcoz this is a cracked version??? Plz reply with a solution.

2.Close the activation window
3.Pres CTRL + ALT + DEL and go to "Process", find the process called

5.Reboot your computer

1. Change the SID of computer to "S-1-5-21-350281380-233495102-1455855570" using NewSID.exe (3rd Option in program)
*NOTE- this could take an hour or more, so be patient!

2. Restart the system

3. Install WindowBlinds. After WindowBlinds has successfully installed, close activation window.

4. Replace/Put the sig.bin in the WindowBlinds folder.

5. Done. Enjoy!


When you launch NewSID.exe, it gives 3 options one of which is to specifiy a SID, enter this SID that I have provided and choose not to change the computer name and reboot once the changes are made.

Install Windowblinds, we need the original files, not the cracked wbsrv.dll and screen.exe!

You may have a sig.bin file already. All you need to do is replace the existing string with the one that I provided. You can disable wordwrap in notepad and ensure that it is a single line without spaces.


Disclaimer: if the steps are followed properly, it will work on Vista. I have tested it on Vista successfully. Please use the newsid tool at your own risk!

Pls to go a folder called "program files" in your C-Drive and find out the folder, where this stardock product is installed. Copy and paste the keygen in that folder, open the keygen and then patch it.. this might work!!! let me know the results...

i tried using the patcher, went to the directories for wbsrv6.dll and found the error "Can't write to file(file is running or otherwise accessed)"

i tried doing selective start-up on msconfig to kill all start-up apps and restart the pc, tried again, same result..

I prefer to use StyleXP to change the look of Windows as in my opinion it feels more stable. I used to use WindowBlinds though, and I think there should be an icon in your system tray which you right-click on or double-click and then launch the main program screen.

In there you can change various options and choose Vista Aero which is included in the package.

From what I remember I had to close WindowBlinds by right-clicking its icon in the system tray or by closing it from the Task Manager and then applying the patch by opening it when it's in the program files folder of WindowBlinds. If it doesn't work even when you do that then it will patch when you do it that way when Windows is in Safe Mode.

You can download files with the .wba extension to WindowBlinds that add extra Themes to Windows.

i'm not sure if i'm doing anything special but here's how i do it.. (i've done it several times on my two machines and half a dozen times on friends')

> i uninstalled any old versions of WB from the control panel...
> if it's a clean install, i made sure all AV are off
> i ran the WB installer.. (chose not to run WB yet after finish screen)
> ctrl + alt + delete to launch task manager
> end task anything that shows install.exe or msinstall something.. (can't remember)
> finish install screen should close..
> i ran the keygen on post #33
> searched the wbsvr.dll file
> patched it...
> then reboot pc..
> then i start WB..

tell me if it works.. (if you tried before, and failed.. please try again.. there were instances when mine didn't run on the first try, but perseverance usually takes care of things.. ;)

you don't need to have those. that's the purpose of the keygen... run the file on post 33.. then hit patch.. it will let you select the file from the browse option.. then run patch while all files associated with WB are not running..

2. Install unlocker1.8.5 or latest

3. Put the Stardock WindowsBlinds V6.0 Enhanced Patcher to this place C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\WindowBlinds

4. Before u run the patcher right click on "WbSrv.dll" and select unlock with the wand. In the unlocker program highlight everthing and select Unlock all.

5.now run the patcher to patch
- First Patch
- Second Save License
- Third Exit +Enjoy!
- Restart the program
- Enjoy the program

This is what u do to fully get that program locked this is what i did

1. Install Windowblinds600_enhanced

2. Install unlocker1.8.5 or latest

3. Put the Stardock WindowsBlinds V6.0 Enhanced Patcher to this place C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\WindowBlinds

4. Before u run the patcher right click on "WbSrv.dll" and select unlock with the wand. In the unlocker program highlight everthing and select Unlock all.

5.now run the patcher to patch
- First Patch
- Second Save License
- Third Exit +Enjoy!
- Restart the program
- Enjoy the program

hi everyone i had try the above method and work perfectly on my windowxp(computer)

now i try to use this application on my window vista business edition(Laptop) but after i apply the skin, the skin will change to window classic skin..

i also realise another thing is that the small icon that suppose to appear near the time on our btm right isnt there.. why isit so? can someone help?

no problem mate! just post here if in case something goes wrong with the patch but i doubt it coz i tested it in my XP and ok till now. but if ever, i have an updated patch, will not upload as long as this one is working.

a couple of notes if you have window blinds already installed your going to have to uninstall it using a advanced uninstaller that gets rid of registry and all.
also when applying the patch after saving the sig6 go to the stardock folder and make sig6.bin read only

Yes i did try it on vista with no luck i think i have to run the program as administrator but i have recently grown to hate vista do to driver problems so back to xp and loving it..

I can't seem to register it!
It comes up and says "file already patched or different file version"
and stays a trial version?
Am I missing something or is it not crackable with the included patch?

5) Generate a keyfile and save it in the same folder

now i have a few questions which exactly is the activation window & i did not find WBINST~1.exe file in my task manager in Windows XP

No patch for 6.2 version until now. old embrace patch not work for this version.

The old versions like 6.10 do not work on my VISTA they worked on XP PCs

Ok guys this is getting annoying fast. I am using windows vista home premium. Have downloaded numerous versions of this program and when trying to apply the patch it get the message that its already been patched or the file version is newer. What do i have to do to get around this.

But does it load themes quicker like On XP Cuz i used MyColors 2.5 & WB 6.2 [In Trial mode ] but they took hell of a lot time to load on Vista Ultimate

for running mycolors, u don't need windowblinds. just install mycolor and all free themes will work.

Yeah i used MyColors without WB But still it takes a lot time to load first it loads a windows 98 style BG &then then tthe theme in maybe 50 secs & i have healthy PC Configs

Using themes always take a lot of resources.

So, there is no working patch for windowblinds 6.2.. :sigh:

after that's patch wbsrv.dll and then save the sig file into ur instalation folder.

1. For Windows Vista : WbVista.exe (and VistaSrv.exe if listed)
2. For Windows XP : WBINST~1.exe

4) Start the keyfilemaker/patcher and apply the patch to "WbSrv.dll" present
in the directory where you have installed WindowBlinds.

5) Generate a keyfile(save license), save it in the same folder & exit.
(The file is "sig6.bin")
