guys, i have a hp pavillon dv4000 and i cant find the pass i changed. i need to reset my bios but when i removed bios cell it didnt reset. what will i do to recover my pass or remove it ?

i searched and i heard a dos program called unlock6.exe. it can generate unlock code but where will i find that damned program ?

normally taking the battery out does the trick...
try again, with the power cable unplugged and the battery out for a good 4-5minutes, see if it work then

Yea, I have the problem too... And I don't want to get my notebook messed up by open the bios battery.

Is there softaware I can use to reset bios password ?
