I get that error a lot when using png files instead of gifs. Usually I've found it to be the music player background but it can really be any number of files. Here's what I do to figure it out:

Compile the theme but when before you do, uncheck every section (applications, icons, pop-ups, multimedia, etc) except for one. Then compile the theme. If it compiles, then you know that the error wasn't in that section, so uncheck that one and check the next one and compile again.

Then once you find the section with the error, start deleting images until you can compile it without an error, then you know which images you should replace with a gif file.

But like I said, start with the music player background and you might get lucky!
