Is there an application that can assign different sms tone to the contacts that we wanted?

For example, you set nokia tune as sms tone for your family and other tones for your friends. By this, you can now differentiate who text you.

Best example is, you can set your sms that will not beep for a specified person if you want to.

If this application exist, please post it.

Yes, this type of application exist but only for phone that support Symbian S60 OS7 e.g. 6670, 6630, 6680 and so on. I don't remember what is the name of this application but you can find it in this site. Hope it will help.Cheer!
