hi everyone here , i am a new NDS user who is thinking to get a R4 . just wondering is this thing really good to play over 900 titles of DS games & partly important it can watch movie & display some good personal images ? it is said this R4 is the latest slot 1 card with support of micro sd & does not need any other device into slot 2 & hasslefree setup & play . buying original games can be a tough matter to my wallet , so after browsing the www , i found this R4 to be the latest & i can get it locally . other than this , please advice , thank you . or am i in the wrong section ?

the slot1s are the best for ds games, as for movies and pics, moonshell can do that for you(its a program you put on the ds)

R4 is a good card for a nice cheap price :)

its the same as the M3 practically and made by the same development/production team as the M3 with a few minor mods to the pcb board :)

r4 is good i have one myself but you wont be able to play gba games on it, and at the moment homebrew is still a bit shaky, but all ds games run fine and you can even use clean roms!

stvtay99, try have a fiddle with the converters options, make sure you got the latest firmware and software.
this site shows you what settings you should have to get the games going

Hi, just bought my R4, it working great with 1GB of Micro SD. Eventhough i never try to use the M3, but so far i'm satisfy with the performance.

some games that i've download from some site like Super Mario Bros (U) and NDS Browser can't run from both of mine (M3 miniSD and R4DS, i have both of them) (anyone could give me some advise?), but no more saying that both of them are superb......and cheap also....

NDS BROWSER requires a RAM card or SLOT 2 CARD with onboard ram (not supercard rumble) to function correctly :)

re supermario maby its a bad dump try finding another version or look for the EU version :)

Yes but you need to patch it and the slot too cannot be a rumble type slot 2 device as rumble does not have the extra ram :)

Moonshell is built in already its the media player option the MIDDLE selection

video needs to be in DPG format you need to convert them with DGP tools that comes with some versions of moonshell that you can download for other cards :)

I'm having problems running my DS with back up roms.
I have a "Supercard LITE with Superkey" which has a micro sd card. I can run my GB advance games but not .nds files.

Anyone got one of these working?

are you using the supercard patcher on your roms to get them to work !?
